    Writing to celebrities?

    Got an idea.
We all know the Church of Scientology thrives on celebrities. We also know many celebrities are too busy with their own lives to care about the real abuses committed by this "church". This is why I propose this simple idea: write to the biggest celebrities and educate them about the cult.

Why aren't more of the opinionated celebrities speaking out against Scientology? Celebrities are the best way to make some noise. Celebrities who say controversial things immediately gain the spotlight. Once they see how dangerous this cult is, perhaps they can spread their knowledge to others in their "celebrity circle".

This idea is as simple as writing a hand-written letter to any celebrity out there. Some may be more effective than others. Is this a good idea or bad idea? And if a good idea, what would be the best way to go about it?

Fail idea. Properly famous people get literally thousands of pieces of fanmail and begging letters every day. Whether it's to support causes or asking for money, or whatever. This would just be lost in the chaff.

A better idea is for a small group of anonymous to approach them at a premier/booklaunch/orgy/whatever.

this was mentioned many times already. (lurk moar)

but, we don't need ideas (there's plenty of them), but just do it! write a letter for someone, and ask some anons to read it before you send it. thats the way things go around here
