Did anyone read this posting? I was surprised at the breadth of this letter, and the underlying implications for invasion of privacy and abuse by fundamentalists. Obviously, it was hard to make myself read, the subject is so disturbing, but the letter raised a large number of issues worth noting.

For example, the backing of the center for missing and exploited children by christian fundamentalists (if that is true) and efforts to restrict sexuality and privacy using laws and frameworks put in place to protect children; the lack of a core understanding by lawmakers and police about corrupt business practices and circumventions that profiteers use to peddle child porn and elude prosecution, the destruction of the lives and reputations of people whose identities have been stolen by the child porn industry; the abuse of children by their guardians and our inability to prosecute and more.

Not surprisingly, there are several "suggestions" about the treatment of pedophiles in society, and a few other things that i do not agree with, but that was to be expected.

I'm not posting this to start a conversation about child abuse, though one could likely follow, I'm posting this thread because I HATE to admit this article made me think, but it did. It scared the shit out of me. And that is aside from the fact that i am probably on a watch list now. What will they "find" (read as plant) on my computer?

Question everything. Don't let revulsion create a blind spot that can be used against you.
