Why would Graham Berry be a troll?

There was little doubt that the Obama To Do List from back in 08 was fail, but taking a tax the cult initiative to the 2nd choice (legalize pot took first, oh well...) brought attention to the topic to everyone who looked at that list whether Govt., mainstream public or the press.

Petitioning NASA to name their space toilet "Xenu" was never going to work either but bringing the vote count to >9000 caught Colbert's attention. He dressed up as Xenu for two days on national television bringing attention to this effort to millions of viewers.

In two days time this petition has already caught the eye of Forbes. It's only just begun.

Petitions can work and they can help people, whether or not they're acted upon directly.

Lol @ dup loop. Forum accidently the whole thing and I eated it.

    BUMPing with my previous noize:

This petition is WIN, even if all it does is garner some media attention causing:
    • education
    • inoculation
    • enturbulation
There will be none of the above if there aren't signatures and if the word is not spread.
    So, the answer is simple:
    • sign the petition!
    • spread the word!
Please ping sites and ask them to write a story about this petition. Sites to contact (please add to this list):
Here's a link to the OP in this thread to pass around:

    For your posting pleasure: (UPDATED)

932 votes last time I looked. If this can be broadcast around enough then the 5000 target will be met.

Has Tony Ortega talked about it in the VV? I can't find anything. His publicizing it is a sure way of getting more signatures (and increased efforts by the cult to get rid of the petition, somehow).
  12. Anonymous Member

at first I was like "another useless petition?" and then I was like...
  13. Smurf Member

Graham Berry & Marty have become buddies. Marty is pushing for Indies & their friends to sign the petition. No, Graham's not drinking the kool aid or going to visiting Texas soon for auditing. They both agree that DM needs to go and the cult abuses have to stop.
  14. RolandRB Member

I want DM to stay and the cult abuses to continue. But so long as they don't get any of my money.

    942 votes and rising.

It will break the 1000 votes barrier for sure today. Probably before 6 hours from this post.

I actually would have preferred the petition ask for an investigation into Co$ rather than asking for a government investigation of the government for not doing an investigation. If the petition is granted an investigation is likely to find no wrong-doing on its part and Co$ will go on its merry way.
Anyway, signed, and as of now its nearing 1000.

    It reached 1000

  23. I think this initiative is a great idea...for Americans.!/how-why/frequently-asked-questions
I'm guessing all non-American/no-community+state signatures will get thrown out, which seems to be running in excess of 20% at this point.
    Just sayin.

Have sent the link to about 20 of my good friends who know how despicable Co$ is and support me in my work to bring them down.

Your link is dead. You might want to copy and paste the direct page.
  28. DeathHamster Member

The text of the link is okay, but the link itself has an embedded "[/quote" tacked on the end. <-- Should be fine.

    Gotcha. Thanks, guys.

  31. I don't normally sign petitions. They are often poorly written and intended to generate publicity for an organisation rather achieve their stated objective (Sign here to Save the Whales!).
This one however is clearly composed by a lawyer and is focussed on pointing out a failure that can be corrected by the recipient. We want Washington to tell the Federal Authorities to get off their butts.

Congratulations to everyone. We have just topped the 1,100 mark in 2 ½ days. This morning we have done 100 signatures in about five hours so the rate is increasing exponentially with the number of sign ups. Soon it will be time to add more layers of PR and communication of submissions before (if necessary) moving over to House and Senate Committees such as Justice and maybe Foreign Relations, Finance, Ways & Means. IMHO we have all made a great start and Marty’s active support has been a major contribution. If Tony Ortega would do a piece on it that would give it another big boost.
