One of the biggest problems (in my opinion) is that there is no true journalism left anymore. Main stream media must report on what their bosses and the government wants them to report on. The only true form of journalism is when you report something that they don't want you to report.
Not true, there are Internet journalists who have no bosses so to follow your line of thinking then true journalism must have increased due to the netz.
I suggest we work on changing this, we can educate ourselves, follow courses, read, whatever, and eventually make our own media, this COULD change the world really, we can organize this in a decent way! and in a couple of years we can run Tv stations
The world has already changed. RT broke the 1 billion mark on Internet. Your news is absolutely not censored on some other countries, and vice versa. That's why countries are following the lead of China, building great walls, with SOPA that sort of things as an excuse and as finance. US also forces it's allies to do so, or else they will say bad words on it's State Department report. If we keep stopping them from controlling the internet, we win.
Exactly! The aim of the media is not to report on current news and events that the public care about, but to report bullshit news stories about which congressman is cheating on his wife or some other completely insignificant story that should not even be considered "news". They literally just use scare tactics to make the public believe and follow the ideologies that are set out by each "independent" news broadcasting company. I use the term "independent" loosely as each corporation is a cog of the massive lying, stealing and cheating machine that is the government. This pretty much sums up why I don't watch the news on T.V. anymore. Just a bunch of overpaid actors spewing horse crap about our country in a hope that we will believe their lies and continue to be mindless zombies that are controlled with fear. Damn governments
Okay. Great. They finally had actual news that I wanted to listen to on BBC 5 live this morning, regarding the hearings of the driver of the train of the derailment in Spain, which killed 78 people I believe. They were discussing his possible sentencing and whether he is to plead guilty or not. Finally some actual news worth hearing. I was so happy that I bought myself an ice cream on my way to work.
I thought the purpose of tv news networks was for background noise to keep old people from becoming lonely.
I'm with you, but apparently "anymore" has been in proper use for longer than we've been alive. Somehow, I never noticed it until recently; I thought "anymore" was only used by the teeming masses of illiterati. (I pronounce "anymore" "EN-ee-more", in keeping with every other "any-" word there is. "Any more" is pronounced "en-ee MORE", which is the only way I've ever heard anyone actually pronounce either rendering.)
I have started a Blog Called The Secret Truth, where I entertainingly tell spiritual truths I've encountered and IRL truths I have researched. Maybe you guys might want to take a look.
