what are the ingredients for the new style protesting?

    With all the new style protests that include Anonymous vs. Scientology, the Arab Spring, and OWS, I'm wondering what you all think the main ingredients are that make it work. I read a lot on protests both old and new, and came up with this list;

    1. use nonviolence
    2. have one simple goal (like "get rid of Mubarak" in Egypt)
    3. no hierarchy
    4. communicate constantly in the most effective manner, such as Facebook and Twitter
    5. decisions made by consensus
    6. when goal accomplished, movement is considered finished

    I'm sure I've forgotten some points.

    Cameras. Lots of cameras. (And a way to route past government Internet restrictions if needed.)

    It's a very good summation. Note especially points ##1 and 3.
    #4... sounds not very secure, but go ahead.

    Quite how any of the three examples given are supposed to relate to each other, I have no idea.

    Also OWS and number 2 in the list... I don't think so.

    ...Why everyone forgets the fun and music? :(

    I agree that they SHOULD remember that. but the Arab Awakening and OWS don't seem to have incorporated fun very much.
