"This is a tangent to the Patrick Desmond case. The insurance company for Narconon of Georgia has filed a lawsuit in Federal Court in Atlanta against parties to the case (except for Lisa Robbins and Sovereign Place) seeking a Declaratory Judgement. Here are the first documents from that action."

"Interesting that the Honorable Amy Totenberg is the same judge who the Atlanta Ideal Org RLUIPA case went before. I also find it interesting that in her Guidelines to Parties and Counsel she included this, considering the troubles with discovery in the Desmond case (I have no idea if this is normally included in Guidelines):"

"Despite all the harsh statements in the complaint about Patrick's stay at Narconon and the housing, and about his death not being covered and why, the real issue is that Western World Insurance Company must be catching on fast that insuring Narconons is bad for business and they better try and limit their liability - even for paying out deserved funds due plaintiffs.

Western World, along with Narconon Int and Narconon Arrowhead ( Narconon Oklahoma), was sued by the Werninck Family & Kayse's estate this past December in Tulsa court for nonpayment of the agreed upon settlement from last year in the Werninck case. That was regarding Kasey Werninck's negligent death.

First Narconon Arrowhead kills Kayse and go to court and then finally settle because they would lose in a trial anyway. So what do they do. They don't keep their agreement to pay what they owe the family.

The Family is forced to file another lawsuit 6 months later to get them to fulfill their agreement and pay what they settled for. Fortunately 21 days later, they and the insurance company paid up and the case was closed.

The way that last post is formatted, it looks like the judge said all that stuff inside the box, but that's clearly not correct.

WOW!!! The Cult is sinking big time in $$$ lawyer/court fees. In the Toronto case it
cost them over 7 million in legal/court fees and they lost a 2-3 million Judgement
and were convicted in Criminal Court of Breach of Public Trust. Then lost another
aggravated damages of C$500,000 and punitive damages of C$800,000 because
they attacked the Crown Attorney, Casey Hill on the Court steps after the Trial :)

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology_in_Canada

AND, once again in Georgia and Oklahoma, it appears they are throwing mega-millions
at dead-horse cases that they will lose, with massive media expose.

IMO, they are dumber than a broken stick:)

^^^ looks like more and more regging will be needed
in one way I am glad they are blowing so much cash, but in another way it saddens me because I know the money is coming from people who are giving up their houses and getting financially drained.
Wonder how much the celebs are kicking in?

They will pull a Catholic Church Shell Game when they have to pay up- each org owns it's assets and the mother church doesn't, rewards must be paid by the Orgs which then declare bankruptcy. Its a win/win for Davy.

I think (looking for the dox now), that the mother-church had to pay for the Toronto ORG judgement
after the ORG tried to wiggle out, saying they had no $$$?

Perhaps it depends WHO is all named in the lawsuit/charges?

This is WHY I named them all in my cases, including the California Church and even "Dildo-Davey" :)

    .
We'll see, but these ^^^ Georgia and Oklahoma lawsuits are costing MEGA right now, and the
COS is most likely writing the checks for now?

While that may be true at the moment, membership is down therefore income is down. Take away Narconon income, it gets worse. You could power through a billion dollars if you were a mindless dwarp like DM. Just a series of bad, bad decisions can do it. Like GAT 2.0, hard on the heels of GAT 1.0. He didn't wait long enough for people to forget the intense pressure to buy the new revised books. Shoulda.

Who cares? "WHEN" more NN's go down, IAS and other member's being Regged WILL care
and so do many of us on WWP and elsewhere!

Notice that the current cases has named not only Narconon Georgia but also Narconon International. Harris has gone to great lengths to show Narconon International controls Narconon Georgia, so if the cults decides to try the "we've got noe monies" game, the bill will go up the ladder to Narconon International. If they too declare themselves bankrupt, they are opening themselves up to lawsuits to recover the money from the other Narconons worldwide, so I think they'll rather pay up (after a bit of legal wrangling of course).

Why they insist on throwing good money after bad money is beyond me, but they may be acting on Old Liverlips formula for "handling wog justice".

Since NN Int falls under ABLE, and able is sitting on $5 million+ in CD's, the next logical target after NN Int should be ABLE, not other NN's.

Why is this even an issue?
    THERE IS A CORPORATE CHART.
    ABLE IS ON IT.
NARCONON, CRIMINON, APPLIED SCHOLASTICS ARE UNDER ABLE.

It's that simple. Look at the picture, it ain't rocket science.

<CoS Dance>While ABLE has many Scientologists involved, and uses Hubbard's methods, there is no connection with the Church of Scientology. We don't don't give any money to them [because funds never flow down] and they don't give any money to us [because they send it direct to the Church of Spiritual Technology]. Never the less, we support their good works and are happy to publicize their programs.</CoS

OK, so where does ABLE gets its funding?
  29. BigBeard Member

According to their 2010 IRS Form 990 the money came from:

    Membership dues: $16,173
Other contributions, gifts, grants: $1,384,689 (Note: Nothing on who this came from)
Program Service Fees: $2,494,187 (Licensing fees from NN, AppSch, etc.??)
    Investment Income: $248,831
Net gain from sale of assets other than inventory: $147
Net income from sales of inventory: $278,295 (I believe this is TWTH booklets)
    Insurance proceeds: $45,272
    Referral Fees: $20,928
    Currency Exchange Gain: $90
All other revenue: $30 (No idea what this could be)

    Total Revenue: $4,488,642
Total Related or Exempt Function Revenue: $2,838,949
Total Revenue Excluded from Tax Under Sections 512, 513, or 514: $248,831

Quite a chunk of change isn't it?

Ok, I'll dump another 200 or so Cof$ front group IRS Form 990's to go with the 150 or so I already have on just the narCONon related entities.

  38. BigBeard Member

Actually, it looks like I'm going to have to anyway. There are so many "grants" (which could be a sneaky way to launder some money) getting shuffled between narCONon and other fronts, I'll need them to see where the moneys going.
