Web of trust flagging?

Discussion in 'Think Tank' started by avideogameplayer, Aug 29, 2009.

  1. Web of trust flagging?

I was thinking, for any Firefox users with the Web of Trust add-on. Why don't we flag any $ci sites as untrustworthy?

    Just throwing it out there...

And presumably it also...throws it out there?

Where might one obtain this device?

In Firefox (I have 3.5), click on tools, Add-ons and then search for "WOT". Install and you are done.

The only problem!!! is that WOT partners with Panda security - which is known to be a $cilon software company. So maybe not a good idea......

So if I rate a site unsafe that contributes to its web-rating? Are you sure?

WOT partners with Panda Security | WOT Web of Trust

Panda Software linked to Church of Scientology

And there used to be a comment on the WOT page:

but it is gone now. iirc there was a response to it from the WOT people. That's gone now, too.

    IDK...

So the the $cifags made a Firefox add-on? Didn't think they had enough smarts...

So do I keep it or uninstall?

No they didn't, they partnered with WOT. I imagine pressure to lift their page from the shit bucket of the ranking scale will be immense in the near future.

There simply aren't not enough of them to get their red flags into the green regardless of who's butt they have their nose inserted into.

    <insert evil laugh here>

I flag all their crap and have been since this add-on came out.

Google, flag, flag, flag, google, flag flag, ad inifinitum.

There are like 3 WOT threads on this forum already. Lern2search function.

For what it's worth, I know someone who found all about Anonymous and even comes to protests and stuff because of a chance visit to Scientology.org and WOT's red flags.

And yet it still warns about:

Official Church of Scientology Online Videos-What is Scientology, Scientologist Beliefs, Spiritual Healing with Dianetics

Church of Scientology United Kingdom | What is Scientology? Find out for yourself

while giving a green light to:

Operation Clambake - The Inner Secrets Of Scientology

    I call that a tech-fail.
