Yeah I know but would it be so hard to make a back-up post somewhere else like Vimeo and use that as a link in WWP? I see there are lots of copies still up but to see them you have to go to YT and then search and I'm lazy. (I'm assuming this is OSA and not our own dear kiddies; not that it matters.)

And YouTube's viewing stats are going down, have gone down by about 15 per cent in the last six months (Alexa)

Or explanation number three, anybody else who might find it lulzy is doing it? DMCA on youtube doesn't have a high barrier to entry. IIRC, I believe the double-agent hypothesis has been brought up many times, resulting in mod reaction along the lines of "STFU". Far as I see it, is it doesn't matter much who's doing it. Either way, it's between Gregg and YouTube. A note from Gary saying that he is probably being impersonated would likely be tangentially useful, but I doubt YouTube even want to get that deeply into it (sadly). Also, the EFF should probably be pooned now and then about persistent, repetitive DMCA abuse. This is what people were concerned about before the DMCA was passed, and it's more good evidence that those concerns had valid foundations.

I just noticed that vimeo removed more than 140 videos. They used to have more than 580 videos for the search key "scientology" and now it down to 440 videos. I guess we can consider vimeo a lost cause.

Anontube relies on other sites to host the content and Moose makes it to easy for the cult. He provides them with the best search tool available and locates all Anon videos for the cult.

Anontube isn't a server. It indexes existing videos on servers (using the chanology tag).
/r/ Might be nice if he could access RuTube's API (if they even have 1) and index the anon videos from over there. Seems to be the only safe haven for now.

Save heaven for how long? I'm sure that the cult is already working on plans how to remove our content. Remember, we hailed Vimeo as save and a few days later Ollie started to attack our content. As long we keep them around our content will not be save.

1) download we still run this soundtrack.
2) create new video that carries same message.
3) Multiple digital signatures.
4) Cult / troll can't DMCA all videos at once.
5) Tube audience gets message.

The whole point of the fight was that CoS is about confronts, in a world where confrontation and struggle is embarassing, costly and destructive. Anon, on the other hand, is a moving target. They take our site down, three more go up within the hour.

Last London raid they made us take down a banner saying "SCIENTOLOGY KILLS," so we took it down and replaced it with a different banner twice the size and spent the next four hours screaming "SCIENTOLOGY KILLS" at the top of our lungs.

We do what it takes to win. That is why we are winning. Now let's get those videos back up and laugh as they flap around trying to make holes in water.

But... AFAICT the way to fix this is probably the DMCA counterclaim. DMCA is written in such a way that it essentially requires service providers to see their users as guilty until they assert themselves to be innocent. There's nothing that can be done to stop it from being abused initially, other than possibly hosting our own content ourselves and avoiding the third party service providers altogether. What we could do that might be more useful is to come up with a relatively fast and efficient process for counterclaiming, maybe find a number of namefags willing to act as agents for the process on a regular basis (which might mean assigning copyright of videos to some appropriate organisation?) and collect all the relevant copypasta where it can easily be found. We could also try to establish relatively friendly relations with one or another of these sites through said agents, and see if there's a way that we can protect against persistent DMCA abuse.

Of course, all this probably got tried ten months ago, but that doesn't change the fact that if the re-uploading civil disobedience approach isn't good enough for us, then we have the option of lrning2copyrightlawninja. Also, of turning this sort of shit into news for nerds, which is more or less what happened last time this YouTube stuff came up. You shouldn't be embarrassed about it. It's a golden opportunity to point at abusive censorship and go, "THIS IS WHY"
