A video Scientology doesn’t want you to see: “Boots in the Sky”

    By Tony Ortega

Starting today, we’re beginning a new weekly feature that we think is going to impinge. (That’s Scientology talk for “have a big effect.”)

The Underground Bunker has heard from a source who has access to a large number of Scientology’s internal videos. We believe that some of the videos have never been online before. Others, like today’s, did make it to the Internet, but then were pulled down by threats from Scientology.

We’re not getting a lot of information from our source about the videos except where to find them online. But we did some quick research and so we know that today’s piece, “Boots in the Sky,” is something that Scientologists know very well. The words you hear are spoken by L. Ron Hubbard — it’s from a lecture he gave as part of the Philadelphia Doctorate Course in December 1952.

We’ll have more to say about the PDC and the origin of this video in a minute. First, give it a look:

"These Boots were Made for Walking" lyrics
    are also more like LRH's . :p

"You keep saying you got something for me
Something you call love but confess
    You've been a'messin' where you shouldn't 've been a'messin'
And now someone else is getting all your best
Well, these boots are made for walking, and that's just what they'll do
One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you

You keep lyin' when you oughta be truthin'
You keep losing when you oughta not bet
You keep samin' when you oughta be a'changin'
What's right is right but you ain't been right yet
These boots are made for walking, and that's just what they'll do
One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you

You keep playing where you shouldn't be playing
And you keep thinking that you'll never get burnt (HA!)
Well, I've just found me a brand new box of matches (YEAH)
And what he knows you ain't had time to learn
These boots are made for walking, and that's just what they'll do
One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you

    Are you ready, boots?
    Start walkin'"

  8. Whatever it twas, he smoked in enormous quantities to ward off cancer, his self=researched book ''All about Radiation'' explains it all in very scientific terms.

Not smoking enough will cause lung cancer! If anybody is getting a cancerous activity in the lung, the probabilities are that it's radiation dosage coupled with the fact that he smokes. And what it does is start to run out the radiation dosage, don't you see.

Another Scientology video you aren’t supposed to see: ‘The Command of Theta’

    By Tony Ortega

A couple of weeks ago we started a new series here featuring Scientology videos that a source is making available to us which demonstrate some of the nuttiness of L. Ron Hubbard and his “technology.”

This week’s offering should also get you scratching your head. It’s titled “The Command of Theta,” and it involves some of the strangest (and hard to follow) analogies and metaphors that we’ve heard from Hubbard, who loved figurative language.

Give it a look-see, and then we’d love to hear your impressions in the comments.

How does cultists stomach that much bullshit? Even if you buy the basic principle (which it itself is bollox), it give no meaning.

    It makes sense to me.

What Hubbard says here is the victim should be free to hallucinate about anything he wants while in session.
The trick is not to control the hallucination, but to control how the hallucination is interpreted.
Once you can convince the victim that the hallucinations are significant in a specific way, you can mindfuck them in any way you want.

Video Leak: Scientology’s November IAS Gala, featuring a slimmed-down David Miscavige

    By Tony Ortega

Our video elves have been busy again, and we have another treat for you.

A source has made available for us video from Scientology’s historic IAS gala, which took place in November in a giant tent in Clearwater, Florida.

For those who can only take Miscavige in brief doses, it may come as a relief to know that our source has posted the event in 5- or 6-minute segments, and we present here in total only the initial 35-minute portion of the entire event. More will come later.

See Scientology’s new TV ad before it’s released — and more IAS gala video!

    By Tony Ortega

Yesterday, we got a look at the first 35 minutes of November’s big IAS gala in Clearwater, Florida. The annual event gives Scientology leader David Miscavige an opportunity to boast about all of the church’s successes over the past year for a few thousand people who have forked over large donations.

We couldn’t help but enjoy it yesterday as our readers did a lot of fact-checking of the claims made by Miscavige in his presentation. And you have even more opportunities today!

Our source has put the rest of the gala online, and it’s worth getting to the end.

In the final section, about two minutes in, Miscavige reveals a new ad that we have a feeling we’ll be seeing on network TV soon!

‘The Factors’: Another video the Church of Scientology would rather you not watch

    By Tony Ortega

Our video source has come through again, sending us another “quote video” that is meant only to be seen inside a Scientology “org.”

As we learned earlier, many of these videos were created in order to highlight a portion of a particular L. Ron Hubbard lecture as new editions of his lectures were produced and Scientologists were encouraged to buy them. In this case, we’re seeing a portion of “The Factors: Admiration & the Renaissance of Beingness.” (Online price, $250.00)

According to Scientology’s own website, this was a series of lectures given in the spring of 1953, and they contain “the knowledge of universal truth unlocking the riddle of creation itself.” Wow! OK, so prepare to be blown away!

Scientology video: Some of the best L. Ron Hubbard word salad ever | The Underground Bunker

    Here’s what Hubbard said:

Scientology 8-8008 is named Scientology 8-8008 because it is the roadmap of a process. And it says the attainment of infinity by the reduction of the MEST universe, apparency of the MEST universe, is infinity to zero. And the increase of one’s own apparent zero to an infinity of his own universe. It’s a roadmap, it’s a roadmap. And when you reduce the MEST universe’s infinity towards zero, you do it by reversing a cycle of action. How do you think you’re going to get out of the MEST universe if you keep saying I don’t want it? Its vectors are all backwards. If you say to the MEST universe ‘I don’t want you,’ it’s going to hold on. I don’t want you? It’s going to have you. How do you get out of that bear trap? You have to want it. You have to be able to limit yourself in nothing in comparison to what your desire level was. You have to want to live. You have to be willing to use your beingness and so forth in all the living there is to do. That doesn’t mean in evil things or all this sort of thing. You just have to want this universe, that’s all. And then know at the same time that you don’t want it, too much. You have to be able to want and experience the sensations of this universe. You have to take as a high level of tolerance at speed. In other words, you have to be able to live in order to back out of the universe.

Friday’s Scientology internal video: L. Ron Hubbard’s special course in ‘Human Evaluation’!

Our video source has come through for us again, sharing with us a short film that normally doesn’t get shown outside a Scientology “org.”

Like the other “quote videos” that we’ve been leaked, this was a short film which was intended to help sell a particular L. Ron Hubbard lecture or book. In this case, it’s the “Special Course in Human Evaluation,” which you can purchase from Bridge Publications for only $170.00!

Here’s how Bridge Publications describes it: Who can you depend on? Who can you trust? Who will be a valued friend or a trusted associate? In the Special Course in Human Evaluation Lectures, L. Ron Hubbard shows you how to apply the technology of Science of Survival and the Hubbard Chart of Human Evaluation across your dynamics.

Hey, that sounds like fun. Take a look at the video itself.

Video Vault: When Scientology basked in the success of giant cucumbers

    By Tony Ortega

Our video source is back with a new “quote video” for us today, and another fun slice of L. Ron Hubbard wisdom.

This week, we get a peek at the “Theta Clear Congress,” a series of lectures Hubbard made in 1959.

Here’s a description from Bridge Publications, which sells the lectures for $125.00:

“An experiment that riveted the world: Eighteen-foot tomato plants and cucumbers the size of watermelons made global headlines. But what those newspapers knew wasn’t even half of the epic saga surrounding L. Ron Hubbard’s greenhouse plant experiments, and a breakthrough concerning life itself: how the fundamental postulates of survive and succumb interplay in life and result in the game called ‘victim.’ In the wake of that breakthrough came further discoveries revealing the basic reasons for a being’s postulates of self-destruction, and their solution — Communication Processes sweeping the track clean of core aberrations. Moreover, here’s where application took on a fully massive dimension with the announcement of a new type of auditing enabling one auditor to handle hundreds, or even thousands of preclears at a time. It’s the means to broad scale clearing and planetary salvation. And yet, no matter the magnitude of these developments, standing behind them was something far greater. For here is the historic Congress where Mr. Hubbard first announced the acquisition of the most famous address in Scientology: Saint Hill Manor, East Grinstead, Sussex, England.”

Take a look at the short film Scientology made to entice sales of this landmark moment in Scientology history!

Another smuggled Scientology video to warm your inner thetan: ‘Success Congress’!

    By Tony Ortega

Our video source has come through again, and we have another internal Scientology “quote video” for your enjoyment. As we’ve explained before, these short videos feature excerpts from L. Ron Hubbard lectures — this one took place in January 1959 — which is intended to sell the full package. Bridge Publications, Scientology’s printing arm, lists this item at $125.00, and it comes in a slew of foreign languages!

So what’s the significance of the lecture? Here’s part of the description from the Bridge Publications website:

“L. Ron Hubbard reveals the single reactive postulate at the core of planetary apathy, ‘there is nothing I can do about it.’ Yet that postulate doesn’t stand a chance — not with what he next discovered. Stemming from the pervasive datum, ‘the confusions aren’t and order is,’ came the discovery of the senior ability of a thetan. In fact, once a being reaches the top of the scale, it’s the only thing they can do. It’s a datum that provides the answer of how an individual can consecutively and continuously bring wider order that spreads like a wave over the world.”

Ah, those halcyon days of 1959. What it must have been like to take in LRH at his finest. But we do have this recording. So give it a listen:

Video Vault: L. Ron Hubbard at his campiest, in 1960′s State of Man Congress!

    By Tony Ortega

    L. Ron Hubbard is at his campiest in a 1960 lecture that is featured in this week’s “quote video” supplied by our secret source. Hubbard was born in Nebraska, grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and spent a lot of time in places like New York and Los Angeles for his writing career. But where he picked up his odd way of speaking is really a mystery. He was a product of his time, for sure, but that doesn’t really explain all of his verbal tics. Get a load of how he says “autoMOEbeel” for example. Once you notice it, you can’t shake it.

The excerpt you’re going to hear is from the State of Man Congress, specifically about “overts” — transgressions that we’ve committed against another person. Here’s how Bridge Publications describes the Congress, which you can pick up for $125.00:

“Beginning with Book One in 1950, and continuing through each successive year, it was a decade of monumental discoveries and milestone technology towards the goal of Clear. Here, then, is the Congress that launched the next decade, and set the whole of Scientology towards Operating Thetan. It all followed from the very definition of OT as ‘knowing and willing cause over all dynamics.’ For while all earlier efforts were aimed at clearing people on the First Dynamic, L. Ron Hubbard opened this one with the startling announcement: “What I’ve arrived at this Congress with was how to clear them on the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Dynamics.” While even more startling was the breakthrough that made it possible: Responsibility and the watershed technology of Overts and Withholds. Here, then, is technology spanning every dynamic from the individual, to marriage, to entire governments.”

VIDEO: Learn the power of Scientology in L. Ron Hubbard’s Science of Survival lectures!

    By Tony Ortega

Our video source has another fun dose of L. Ron Hubbard for us this week. In this “quote video” used by Scientology to sell a $125.00 set of lectures, we learn about the power of theta as it heals the faithful at a church in South America. Huh? Well, whatever.

Here’s how Bridge Publications describes this set of lectures, made soon after the publication of Hubbard’s book Science of Survival in 1951:

“Underlying the development of the Tone Scale and Chart of Human Evaluation was a monumental breakthrough: The Theta-MEST Theory, containing the explanation of the interaction between Life — theta — with the physical universe of Matter, Energy, Space and Time — MEST. In these lectures, delivered to students immediately following publication of the book, L. Ron Hubbard gave the most expansive description of all that lies behind the Chart of Human Evaluation and its application in life itself. Moreover, here also is the explanation of how the ratio of theta and en(turbulated)-theta determines one’s position on the Tone Scale and the means to ascend to higher states.”

Video Vault: Hear L. Ron Hubbard unite Dianetics and Scientology in connubial bliss!

    By Tony Ortega

Our video source came through with another gem this week. It’s the “quote video” that Scientology created to help sell the Unification Congress, that fateful Phoenix event in December 1954 when L. Ron Hubbard explained how he was going to unify Dianetics (which he had invented in 1950) with Scientology, which he had developed in 1952.

Video Vault: The Org Board and Livingness!

Our video source came through for us again, and this time we have a treat. It’s 1965, and L. Ron Hubbard is telling us that he has the magic ingredient for any organization to obtain maximum efficiency, whether it has three people or 200,000. The secret? An “org board.” But what really makes this special is not the org board itself (it’s just a jobs chart, for crissakes) but where Hubbard says he got it — from an ancient galactic civilization that existed trillions of years ago. Woo hoo! We wish these “quote videos” had more of that kind of space opera in them.

Anyway, Bridge Publications sells the Org Board & Livingness lecture for the amazingly low price of $15, and here’s the website’s description:

“Transcending anything Man has previously understood on organization, the Org Board embraces the whole of life, delineating purpose, the alignment of purpose for each of its members, a built-in system of self correction to prevent counter-purposes—and all of it paralleling The Bridge with each successive department representing an awareness level directly corresponding to those an individual ascends on the Grade Chart. Here, then, is L. Ron Hubbard’s legendary lecture revealing the pattern by which to organize life itself.”

Life itself! OK, without further ado:
