The key is to make sure that ex sea org staff are aware of their rights. From what I've heard, most of the freeloader debt stuff is unenforceable, voiding the contract. Still I don't think there's anything illegal about this. But, you could make the arguement that people are being pressured to sign these "volunteer" statements under undue influence (ie canceling the SP declares and the debt The problem, as BFG mentioned, is that many of these people want to move on. So how do you contact them to let them know to watch out for this stuff? Then again, if BFG is right and this is driving people to sue for back wages, I guess the best course of action is to let it play out.
