WHAT: JapanAnon at the 2011 Winter Comic Market WHEN: December 31st, 2011 WHERE: Tokyo Big Sight Convention Center, Odaiba, Japan (here) OKAY, BUT WHERE SPECIFICALLY: Hall 2, Booth 057b After not making the cut this summer, JapanAnon is back for C81 this Winter Comiket. We're going to be distributing the latest volume in the Disconnect series, which highlights the practice of Fair Game against CoS critics and the high-pressure, deceptive tactics used to suck public Scientologists ever deeper into the cult, along with a few cameos by a certain Scientology spy vehicle and everybody's favourite camera-wearing investigative team. This will be our fifth foray into the Comiket, which gets better every time we go. A lot of people have asked us whether setting up a booth in the middle of a comic and anime convention is going to have any real impact against Scientology, but in the years that we've made and passed out Anonymous Comics here, we've met former cult members who've thanked us for spreading the word, people who learned about Scientology through us for the first time, other anti-cult groups and societies who also spread literature at Comiket, a lawyer specializing in anti-cult litigation, several IT professionals who have given us interviews and spoken on our behalf in online media in Japan, and have generally gotten a very positive reception. This time around we're going to have multi-lingual versions of the book for the first time. While Japanese is going to be the main language we print out, we'll have a small selection of English and German books as well thanks to the hard work of other Anons around the world. If you know anybody in Tokyo over the New Year's period, let them know! WeabooMatsu 5 is GO.
We go live tomorrow. Finished printing everything out yesterday. Look forward to a post-game report after the 31st.
