Help Me Investigate | Find out the facts

What a brilliant idea - my first take is that it needs some editorial control - but that could be crowd sourced (up voting the important things) and the outcome reports are somewhat incomprehensible - something like a wiki required there.

But overall, brilliant concept. Hope it goes global.

Did you know that from 15 December 2010, all local authorities in England will be required by law to have an e-petitions system?

E-petitioning provisions in the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009 come into force on 15 December for local authorities in England. Welsh councils will also be required to introduce an e-petitioning system in due course.

How are campaigns, which implies multiple people making requests, going to get answers when regular folks get denied with "acting in concert" as a basis for the denial??

From the little bit I read on the site, its not meaning the use of FOIs in that kind of way, more using FOI's as PART of a campaign.

'Acting in concert' is not being used as a basis for denial.

It also requires 'same or similar information' and periods of time.

Our problem is that we are a bit like a heard of cats, there (should be) no problem with acting in concert, if everything is planned out to make sure there is zero overlap between requests, and that requests are paced.
