The law has been posted and referenced in other threads. It's also a felony, which means OSchaper is about to lose a few of his civil liberties when this gets resolved. He's proven time and time again that he's not the sharpest tool in the shed.

No, screw waiting for YouTube or contacting their corporate office. I'll tell you exactly what they're going to tell you: when we receive a DMCA complaint, we have to take down the video immediately to comply with the law. We're going to get no help from that end.

The only solution is a DMCA counter-claim, but to do that, you have to name-fag yourself...well, hello, I already name-fagged myself, didn't I? And, gee, last night, I opened a YouTube account for the very purpose of stopping Ollie/OSA. And I'm willing to act as a front to file DMCA counter-claims.

I've been saying to send things to me, but things are moving too fast. PM me for the account name and password, and you can upload your stuff to your heart's content. No tinfoil hats, either. I don't think anyone on here can consider me OSA.

It really is...abusing DMCA to remove material which constitues Fair Use is a blatant suppression of free speech - this story will be of interest to a lot of people who don't care specifically about $cientology but do care about their First Amendment rights.



As for Fair Use - maybe when making new videos include some boilerplate text on a slide at the start of the video and in the desription saying something like: This video contains material copyrighted by $scientology which is permitted under the Fair Use doctrine of Copyright Law.

I'm not a lawfag so I don't know if the above is a good or worthwhile idea - but for example, in a video about $cn's use of post-hypnotic suggestion techniques, I assume it's OK to include a clip of Little Davey telling the brainwashed drones "If you think these books are expensive, you will feel guilty about having that thought the moment you leave this room" (I can't remember his exact words...but it was in the video where he's announcing the launch of the Basics).



As for the $cilon drone gloating about his/her "YouTube video removal" stats - if you're reading this: enjoy it while it lasts...you've just pressed the "Huge PR Flap" button...even if it wasn't your idea, it will be you that will have pulled in the ensuing shitstorm. Blow now or enjoy your RPF punishment.

(TBH, I'm a bit puzzled how anyone can watch all these videos and remain a $cilon - it takes a somewhat degraded being to defend such a shitty organization.)

If he's not licensed wherever he's practicing, he's holding himself out to be a lawyer, and his activities amount to unlicensed practice of law. Similarly, he's claiming to represent people who have not authorized him to do so. I doubt the California Bar Association, of which he is not a member, will be too pleased with this.

Signing his name with "Esq." is not per se illegal. There are no laws against doing it. However, if he's using it to create the false impression that he's a practicing lawyer, while sending out these notifications, that could add to the grounds for UPL prosecution. Additionally, if he's actually licensed somewhere, this is probably grounds for yanking his license wherever he's actually licensed. (So far as I can determine, nowhere, but I haven't really gone wild on searching.)

If we're lucky, this could be a criminal matter. Get all the docs together and file complaints. This could be good. Generally, you have to be pretty extreme to get the attention of the California Bar Association. It's hard to get more extreme than literally thousands of fraudulent DMCA notifications.
