Robotic is the idea. I think this version is much more comprehensible than the original.

Tried it using 2 different voices to distinguish between "the patter" and the extra instructions. Still couldn't get some words pronounced correctly, though.

Have you tried auto-tuning the output to map it to natural intonation?

Also... I'm sure there is a good guide on the webz somethign about how to properly define your tts intonation using bizarres sequences of ascii and punctuation.... sure its' not far away
