Sticky threads needing a lot of attention.

(I know you all hate notifications, but this stuff needs to get done and the staff cant do it all ourselves, please help if you have the time. Please dont shit up the thread with notification complaints.)

These are all threads that are stickies. Most of them need some work. I have spent most of the day cleaning up what threads are stuck and fixing links that are broken in the OPs of some of them. General cleanup basically. This is the next step. We need some people to either work on old threads they created or new people to take over the threads. Owner of the thread/OP can be changed if someone wants to takeover a thread and do the work on it.

I originally started with this: http://forums.whyweprotest.net/233-...nsus/some-cleanup-indexing-summarizing-40153/
Which still needs some work. But before that can really be finalized a lot of these threads need to be dealt with.

Threads that need to be revived, updated, split, merged, ect:

These three need to be updated and split up properly into two, Translators and Translation Projects?

    (UPDATE BELOW) http://forums.whyweprotest.net/41-t...translators-translation-projects-index-34386/
    (UPDATE BELOW) http://forums.whyweprotest.net/41-t...-transcriptions-translations-subtitles-12549/

These threads need to be updated and kept up to date.

[STRIKE]This thread needs to somehow be revived or redone from scratch with better organization in the op?[/STRIKE]

This thread needs to be read and scanned for errors or things that might need fixing/adding/removing.
    http://forums.whyweprotest.net/291-...ew-have-questions-check-here-first-faq-16472/

This thread could use some kind of organizing in the OP. Ideas? Listing off most needed skills and who has them and is willing to help or answer questions?
    http://forums.whyweprotest.net/291-scientology-activism/anonymous-list-your-skills-8681/

This one could maybe use more questions and suggestions for answers? Maybe it could also use some updating since its been awhile since any edits have been made.
    http://forums.whyweprotest.net/26-think-tank/scifaq-questions-scientologists-14530/

This thread that explains the Think Tank could use a re-write since it is no longer accurate:
    http://forums.whyweprotest.net/26-think-tank/how-sub-forum-works-read-first-1831/

[STRIKE]The list of OSA/SCI youtube accounts here could use an update:[/STRIKE]
    (UPDATE BELOW) http://forums.whyweprotest.net/26-think-tank/osa-youtube-accounts-11520/
This thread has been replaced by this one: http://forums.whyweprotest.net/186-youtube/share-your-youtube-troll-sock-block-list-28785/

If you want to takeover a thread and get it up to date and do the work. Or if you start a new thread to replace one of these and re-collect the information. Post it here and PM me so we can work out getting you in control of the thread and/or unsticking the old thread and sticking yours.

ps: If you own a thread and do not want it to be taken over by someone else please try and get it up to date?

    UPDATE:
    1. OSA Youtube thread has been replaced by a new thread already. Removed sticky on the old thread, stuck the new thread (in a different subforum.)
    2. "IMPORTANT:LIST YOUR Decentralized Planning Centers HERE" owner changed to WMAnon. Updates will be done to both that thread and Anonymous: Still Alive
    3. The translation threads are being dealt with by anonym0us
  2. Re: Sticky threads needing a lot of attention.

    Will do, thanks.

Re: Sticky threads needing a lot of attention.

I just want to say, the whole reason I made the new Translators (and Projects) thread, was because the 'List of Translators' is WAY out of date and could actually just be deleted.
I'll contact Ann O'nymous, who's in charge of the List of Projects. I hope we'll be able to figure something out.

Really appreciated. Once you have something concrete that you want me to do (delete the old one, stick one or two new ones, whatever) tell me and we'll get it done.

Perfect. Unstuck the OSA youtube accounts thread in Think Tank. Stuck the new one in the youtube subforum.

    Editing OP to reflect.

As for the AnonStillAlive.com site. I think it needs to be kept up to date, but it might be nice to have the thread here up to date and both kept up. Thoughts?

AnonStillAlive.com isn't going anywhere, I was planning on going through and testing all of our info over the next week or two to make sure it's kept up to date. While I'm at it, I might as well take over the thread here and post the information.

Thread owner switched over, you can start to rework/update that OP whenever your ready.

Re: Sticky threads needing a lot of attention.

Based on personal experience, may I suggest that the takeover of a thread should be made with the agreement of the original OP, if possible, and at least done in a transparent and fair way (e.g mentioning the change in a footnote or in the "reason for editing" space).

I think that sounds fine - I'm sure that we mods can remember to do that. =)

Re: Sticky threads needing a lot of attention.

I'm interested in restarting the old "anonymous' free tech" page... I'll have to contact a few people but it is a thread that needs attention.

Re: Sticky threads needing a lot of attention.

That one could definitely use some work.

Re: Sticky threads needing a lot of attention.

the digg links thread still gets quite a few posts, but i'm not sure how many diggs its generating at this point. if dontmakemeangry has no interest i'd be glad to redo the OP with stuff from the second thread and make a more targeted introduction to the concept.

    i'll PM dontmakemeangry...

So this needs to be edited:

Re: Sticky threads needing a lot of attention.

The Off-Topic forum became YSOSRS. Now threads that would ordinarily have gone there stay in General Discussion. This seems less than ideal.
