Hibbard hasn't been too fond of our protests. I think he just wants to keep the peace and will try to do so by turning a blind eye to Scientology.

Of course Hibbard hates our protests. We don't donate to his campaign or suck up to him.

Wasn't it BayNews9 that did the interview with Hibbard last year and tried to question him about the Anonymous protests against $cientology? He spun so hard and so fast to say absofuckinglutely nothing at all that I thought his head was going to disengage from his neck.

I hope Hibbard likes driving through downtown Clearwater and seeing the ugly-assed high-rise sitting where the historical Calvary Baptist Church used to stand. I hope that someday it comes out whether Hibbard was instrumental in that beautiful old church being razed for a fucking highrise because Hibbard is a member of Calvary Baptist and he is buddy-buddy with the cult when it suits his purposes.

The "somebody else's problem field" as been switched on.

If they don't want to see it then they will not see it.

Yeah. Good thing the rest of us have honest, upstanding politicians.

I'm not particularly shocked that people who have businesses or interests in downtown Clearwater would be reluctant to say bad things about Scientology. If they had spoken anonymously, their responses would have been different, and possibly full of expletives.

As far as harpoons are concerned, keep in mind that Clearwater is very dependent on tourist bucks. The fact that you live elsewhere and don't vote locally is not as important as it would be for most local politicians. Even if you live overseas your opinion of the city is listened to.

Seems like a lot of shoulder shrugging.

so when miscavige finally breaks out the kool-aid, i think our denouement should be picketing all the politicians and officials who either actively supported the cult or looked the other way to avoid losing out on campaign contributions. the theme should be: "look who's got blood on their hands!"

Clearwater and Los Angeles will be the most difficult places to pry their presence away from, and the reason is mostly because of the politicians they attract in those areas, with their expensive parties, smiling faces, and tons of money to pay off the ones who aren't already convinced by their expensive parties and smiling faces. And it's a well-known fact that Los Angeles is chock full of corrupt politicians & police, even more so than Clearwater.

Not a big surprise for politicians who consistently kiss Scientology's ass so their members - residents of Clearwater - will vote for them in re-election campaigns.

Privately, most think Scientology sucks; publicly, it's about consistently getting their vote and campaign dollars.

    Re: bolded, you're joking right?

    Also I never liked Bilirakis...

Do us a favor and differentiate between our politicians and our police, and leave the latter group out of the corruption accusations.

Wasn't it Hibbard who said if the Super Power Building gets finished, the city may forget about the back taxes owed by COS? Or am I mitaken?

I only put Hibbard in the good guy list cause of what he said this one time. It was context of the article. I know hes a cult shill, I shoulda added more question marks.

Once Mr Miscavige has been allowed to have his interview with the Times, this whole story will just go away and flocks of people will send their children to join the Church. Three Cheers for Mr Miscavige.

The comments section on this is full of awesome Scilon defense from one guy "Mike" from LA.

Someone, probably from here, "Steve" is making him define the Sea Org and if its work or volunteer. Mike came back with an awesome quote:
