Scott Olsen is recovering from injuries received during an Occupy protest in Oakland, California. The head injuries are so severe that it has effected his ability to communicate. His family needs your help.

"Members of "Occupy Oakland" had a march Friday in support of two veterans who were also injured in the demonstrations. They honored former Marine Scott Olsen and Army Ranger Kayvan Sabeghi. Both were severely injured in two recent confrontations with police in Oakland, but controversial new details are emerging about Olsen's military service and a website he may have run.

He was honored by Veteran's For Peace and the Occupy San Jose group on this Veterans Day. But conservative bloggers and some military service members are raising red flags about Olsen's military service. They point to a website, which is no longer active, called IHateTheMarineCorps.com. It's registered to a Scott Olsen. The site is also listed on Olsen's YouTube profile page. It's a forum for Marines to vent about the aspects of the corps they don't like. George Johnson is a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Veterans For Peace.

According to a story published by Reuters, Olsen also received an administrative discharge from the Marines, instead of an honorable discharge. These new details of Scott Olsen's military record are extremely controversial, especially for members of the Marine Corps and people who have family who served.

ABC7 tried contacting friends and family of Olsen for their comments on the former website and details about his discharge, but we are yet to get a response."

How many times does a BS story need debunked before people think, "Hmmmmm, maybe this story is BS?"

When you get out, you get a copy of your discharge papers, suitable for framing. Mine has a gold seal on it. Maybe they all do, or maybe I was special.

So like, ask to see a copy of his DD214. That will tell what kind of discharge he got.
