Because the brain is just a piece of meat that can't store memories or give people the ability to think. Forget everything hundreds of years of real scientific studies on the brain have concluded. Forget the evidence that people with brain damage are unable to remember things, that's all hogwash. L. Ron's pseudo-science has proven, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the brain has absolutely nothing to do with memory - after all, some hypnotized woman claimed she remembered a past life, so that just throws all science and previous proof on the topic out the window right there.

I'm sure there are. There's still no proof that she didn't fake it by obtaining the information beforehand. There's also no proof that she unwittingly recalled a headstone or story on this person somewhere and the subconscious twisted a suppressed memory of a name and headstone into an imaginative dream. People thought Uri Geller was proof of psychic or supernatural ability as well. People are easily fooled. This is why Scientology still exists.

Now you are implying that the brain is a time machine. Funny. When you see something, and your brain stores that image, when it recalls that image, you see it, yes. The same way you would see it with your eyes because it sends the stored image to the same brain receptor that allows you to see images with your eyes. You aren't travelling back in time.
