not yet, but in the materials outline document i currently got it in my head to tentatively hit OT materials in volumes VIII & IX in accordance with their nature of being arcanely bizarre myths.

AL, I recall about 20 or so years ago I had a conversation with the D of P (Director of Processing) at an org. We were discussing past lives and Christianity (D of P had been raised Catholic, I had been raised Christian). We were both totally zombified Scientologists at the time of the discussion ("there was no man on the cross", etc)

D of P told me that Hubbard had said in some obscure lecture that the Bible had originally mentioned past lives, but those sections had been alter-ised (changed) or totally omitted over the years.

The supposed proof of this was in the New Testament, when Jesus was asked about a blind man. People asked if the blind man was born blind because of his parent's sins, or because of his own sins.

The Hubbard point was supposedly that the blind man could be blind because of his own sins only if he had lived before.

The D of P showed me some LRH tape lecture transcript, that alluded to this.

This conversation I had with the D of P was a long time ago, but I remember clearly some Hubbard reference about LRH claiming the Bible had been altered to delete Biblical references to reincarnation / past lives.

Posting this here, in case any other old exes recall the LRH tape reference. It wasn't an HCOB, it was a taped lecture on reel to reel, so its possible the "Bible past lives" LRH reference may have been omitted in later tape versions.

I'm a bit fuzzy on the details after all these years, and if this info already been brought up and you already have the LRH tape reference, then disregard this.

owwwww - thanks for the tip! i had not heard of this being in a tape transcript!!!

However, i had slight inkling about it - i have Advance Magazine articles on this same claim and i just got the part2of2 article last nite (see scientology magazines thread in leaks forum) but havent read it yet... so i might find the lecture reference in there. I'll definitely do some more digging on this and see what i can find as this topic would fit nicely into Volume II.

    thks!!!

It was an old reel to reel tape transcript. D of P of course would not give Verbal Tech to a pc, which is why I'm sure there is some tape transcript the D of P showed me.

More good stuff for use in future volumes being posted by Caroline over on the OCMB sibling thread.

Also, a polite & minimalist version of the "WTF were you thinking AL???" question that I was totally expecting & fully prepared to get hit with here on WWP has been raised on OCMB. And my response is here:

^^for any lurkers likewise scratching their head but not speaking up cuz i put substantial dox (insteads of words) on the table upfront to begin with.

New stuff added to this draft document... special thx to moarxenu & Caroline
I now got TommyD quotes pulled from his infamous rant to SPTimes re: sea org being tough SOBs, and his ripe condemnation of Randy Sly & Catholic.org on more than one occasion.
    http://www.google.com/search?hl=&q=...=navclient-ff&rlz=1B3GGGL_en___US279&ie=UTF-8

I've moved on to weeding thru the CNN AC360 footage for more verbal blunders from official spokesholes: http://www.cnn.com/search/?query=scientology history of violence&primaryType=mixed&sortBy=date&intl=false

and then I'll commence to raep freedom rag's rage against lawrence wright & paul haggis.

in the meanwhile, can i haz a little transcriptionist assist from someone with some time to kill? I'd like to get some text from the first couple minutes of guillame leserve's volunteer ministers speech on the vid below, starting around 1:06 thru 3:21

    TIA!

Also wanted for including examples of spokeshole quotes related to over the top bragging (like the clip above):

anybody got or know of a DM speech vid, where he's boasting of either L. Ron Hubbard the man himself, or the promotion of Hubbard or mass publication of Hubbard's works???

/r/ lings to moar horse's ass for use in my quotes vs. scripture document ;)
  9. Anonymous Member

A few months ago, there was huge 2 or 3 hour event leaked here on video, with about an hour of it glorifying Hubbard's life.
  10. AnonLover Member

thats likely the one i was thinking of... got ling?

(not being lazy faggot, just looking for lil halp... so many dox, so little time)

    bump for latest project status....

Over on OCMB, Caroline has been feeding me tons of relevant fodder. Most of which is now flowed into the latest Scientology Religiosity? Materials Index / Project Outline.

The most recent update to ^^That outline includes reorganizing the Topical Index section to insert a new Volume III for better dealing with the extended stack of Hubbard's spew in the Abrahamic Beliefs theme.

Meanwhile, the master collection of dox continues to grow, and there's been other significant updates posted on LRH/Scientology Quotation segments (spanning 3 different volumes):

(Sidenote... Volume III quotations segment is an excerpt from the "Scientology and the Bible" booklet covering the Axioms pgs 15-24)

Volume IV (previously Vol3) - L. Ron Hubbard & Church of Scientology General Quotes on Other Major Religions and Systems of Belief (Still a work in progress, and this one is mostly a catch all for more generic stuff that didnt fit in other segments)

Next up - I'm still waiting on a fresh batch of old Advance Mags to be leaked for fleshing out the recently reorganized outline for Volumes 2 & 3 in the materials index.

So I think I'm going to switch gears, and re-publish an updated edition of the previously released Volume I publication w/ new stuff from OCMB feedback + some misc copyedits offered up by anony proofreaders... just to kill a little time until my sekrit leakers get their Advance mag leaks leaked.

ETA on Volume I 2nd ed., early next weekend. Then hopefully Volume II will follow the weekend after.

    Also - LOL, Butt Church.
  16. Outstanding work, AL! <3 It!

    Thx! ( /bows )

For my fellow christfags - your halp wanted on proofreading & vetting this major piece of (mostly) original works:

(Final Draft - I think I'm ready to call this one done!)

I've been literally sleeping with the above segment for nigh on 3weeks now (and waking up most mornings with either hardcopy drafts crinkled up under my pillows and/or my bible under my nose).

Its gotten so bad, I sometimes wake up in cold sweats in the middle of night due to dreams of Moses preaching bloody hellfire at scilon crosses in burning bushes & Elron's head on snake bodies under Christ's feet when he's tempted in the desert for 40days.

^^Oddly enough tho - i often find the answer to something i dozed off searching for right under my nose when i turn the light on after those bible induced nightmares. (So there is some LULZ in it, albeit in a rather twisted tinfoily sense)

But there can be no doubt I am entirely TOO CLOSE to my work on this particular segment :)

And I need somebody who knows their scriptures to go thru things closely, and make sure I didnt get off track or wandered out in left field not seeing the trees thru the forest.

Sanity check needed = make sure the selected bible passages make sense (to somebody other than me) as an insightful or poignant comparison for the scilon quote it's matched up with.

and TIA! for any & all help... feel free to PM me your input if you dont want to post publicly, everybody else is (as it seems nobody's quite comfy yet with embracing the "r" word here in the hive aside from telling me what a pleasant surprise this anomaly of a thread is for not getting trolled by the majority of religion haters).
  18. AnonLover Member

Mmmmm.... juicy feedback received privately on ^^VolII quotes section:

For the 2nd part of the segment where I cover a short list scilon spokeshole idiotic comment comparisons, I'm missing the almight footbullet of Nancy Cartwright remarks in aussie TV coverage where she admits to the "i hope to become like god someday" sentiments.

YES! i do need that, zomg cant believe i forgot it!!! anybody remember which TV program that was on? (it was Seymour if i recollect rightly... but i always get those two uber hawt aussie journ'ohhhs confused since i suck w/ names)

    Marty,
Thanks for the update. This is BIG news.
Meanwhile, the Theravada Buddhist community continues to grow with new books, new translations, and many new members. We do not even promote.
I believe, that without Mr. Miscavige during the last 30 years, Scientology would have grown to at least 10 million auditors in 2011.

Ironically, the Buddha would have accepted Scientology while I was given a policy letter to read which stated that I, as a Buddhist, was “stuck in a GPM, a black hole”.

Well, Mr. Miscavige this black hole sure is fun and it is much, much better than a bunker.

    Much loving-kindness,
    GMW

  21. AnonLover Member

Oh my, I need to find ^^That PL when i get to the Buddism volumes.
  22. Anonymous Member

Yeah, it surprised me too. I don't recall ever reading that particular policy.
  23. AnonLover Member

I also still need to try and track this down...
I have the Advance mag article in this same vein - but it doesnt make mention of a related lecture. However, i suspect the lecture will make mention of the same historic tidbit - Origen and Origenism, and I havent had a chance yet to do a full on search for it yet.

Nancy Cartwright in this is priceless. Completely clueless about God. Just make something up - that's the Scientology way,
  26. moarxenu Member

It is to laugh. Again, totally clueless. The heart of Buddha's teaching is non-attachment to ego-desires. Scientology is totally about the acquisition of ego powers, the stoking of ego-desires, and enslavement to the cult.

The Buddha said that life is suffering not just some of the time but all the time. We suffer when we don't have what we want, and we suffer when we get what we want because we know we can lose it.

Scientology is suffering. All cultists suffer because they don't get what they want - it's always the next course, the next intensive.

Technological Buddhism is a contradiction in terms. The Buddha would have laughed his ass off.

All ^^those tasty quotes ripe for the spreading...

And then there's sites like this -

    http://en.thinkexist.com/quotes/with/keyword/scientology/

oh look! "Submit a quote with Scientology"

My my... deliciously exploitable! Would be a darn shame if somebody harvested copypasta from my dox above and transplated the best ones into an alternate hotbed home.
  29. AnonLover Member

OK right, where was I? oh yeah, volume I updated 2nd edition (from private feedback here on WWP & OCMB thread) because I'm still waiting on Advance Mag leaks for volumes II & III.

Clueless or not, shi- is ca$h!!! But I need to find the air date & proper details for a full citation on this clip. Meanwhile, 2fer lulz quotes harvested below.

    Scientology Religiosity? Research Volume I:
Updated 2nd edition (version v1.22Oct2011) released

    Scribd: http://www.scribd.com/doc/65916147/Scientology-Religiosity-Volume-I

    Fileshare: http://www.mediafire.com/?onu4di1ef3bzmls

    Compilation Changes:
Section v1.01 expanded and majorly reorganized. Subsections 007 & 016 added, 003 materials replaced, 009 extended and Volume Summary adjusted accordingly.

    Document Description:
Scientology Religiosity? Vol I - God, Heaven, Hell & The Hope of Mankind :: This volume of the Scientology Religiosity? publication series has been compiled to serve as the introductory module for a larger body of materials, and covers some of the basic principles of Scientology when viewed from the perspective of being classified as a new religious movement. The enclosed subject matter reveals the teachings of L. Ron Hubbard and other promotional material from the Church of Scientology on common aspects of “salvation” that is adhered to by the more traditional faiths.

    Usage Notes:
The online scribd version clobbers some of the hyperlinks in the front & back matter sections, and lacks the advantage of the bookmarks pane setup for ease of navigation in a PDF reader. So the downloaded version in your local PDF reader is strongly recommended for serious use as a study/reference guide.

    (...missed deadline 1of2, check!)
