The first two points, sleep therapy and exercise, are something any therapist will talk about. The third one is odd, no doubt, but odder things than that have worked. And it is amenable to a proper study, so it can be tested. The fourth one, again, who knows, but it is possible to test the hypothesis. And since there are no cures for depression, it's good that new methods are being explored. Maybe a magnet bath is what works. We can't know until we've tested it.
Obviously not a Scientology media front. Scientology would never say this: "As someone who has suffered from depression, I know better than most that antidepressants can be a life-saver." "In fact, I credit a combination of therapy and Prozac for saving my life when I was in my early 20s."
People are just like animals. A good smack in the mouth at the right time can cure or create a serial killer.
