iirc he was let out after almost a week.

She says she signed a billion-year contract as a 12-year-old, lived on the Scientology vessels The Royal Scotman and The Athena, and was in effect a "child slave".

"When we were on the ship, we had people working 20 hours a day, seven days a week," she said.

"It was a nightmare for me and my brother. For most of our lives, we were separated from our mother because she was in the Sea Org.

"A lot of the children hadn't seen their parents for months, and their parents were on the same ship."

I like this one, none of that bullshit about "reforming" scientology. Keryn states the simple truth that it was crap from day one.

Oh yeah, me loves the ABC reporter for calling their BS on this one too.

He says children have not been allowed to join the Sea Org for more than 20 years, however the ABC's Four Corners investigation found members have been recruited and separated from their families from the age of 14 since then.

In 1993, [the beneficiary] joined the fraternity of the [Sea Org] and began

1993. [Redacted] does not offer any details about the duties of the Community

to join staff from the time he was seven years old and signed a contract on April

contract of Employment" (Contract) cannot be that he "wanted to join staff from
the time he was seven years old." [Redacted] states that, despite having
signed the Contract, the beneficiary "was unable to join the Sea Org until he

of kindergarten age to sign a billion-year Contract with the Sea Org; we are
not obliged to ignore this information merely because the beneficiary signed his
Contract more than two years before the filing date. Whether the beneficiary
had been a member for a week or for fifty years, the circumstances under which
he first signed the Contract are relevant when considering the nature of the
organization. The two-year requirement does not, in any way, restrict
reasonable inquiry into the underlying nature of the organization.

Counsel maintains that the beneficiary's joining the Sea Org at such a young
age "is excellent evidence of the calling to religious life contemplated by 8
C.F.R. § 204.5(m)(2)." This argument would be persuasive only if six-year-old
children routinely made reliable predictions about their ultimate careers. There
is no evidence that very young children (who are especially impressionable,
particularly when a parent is a church official) sign the Sea Org Contract under
different circumstances than adults, who have given mature reflection to the
nature of a permanent commitment.

I've read somewhere about a boy being placed in like a dumpster on the ship for several days. I'm not sure where however, as a professional who works in a child welfare agency I have no doubt he suffered severe emotional & physical trauma, which is very hard for ANY child's psychic to fully recover. Given the time frame I would be very surprised if he is still alive today.

SS for you and your sister, thx for sharing your story, same abusive policies have been carried out for decades in different forms in Ft. Harrison Hotel garage and basemenet, rooms, etc. in Clearwater, the big blue building in L.A., the farm, gold base and on and on.

The governments need to step in, it's all out there, they've been totally exposed, it's child abuse, pure and simple.

Scientology's denials are outright laughable at this point yet they continue on under the guise of religious cloaking.

I never got chained up or anything, but I used to visit my mom (before she disconnected from me) in LA. I would stay alone all day with no food at the building she lived at (the AB, i.e. Anthony Building) and there were many other kids left alone too. Once I visited her and her seniors wouldn't let me stay with her, so they put me in a ghetto apartment with strangers. Also, I once got taken into a room at CC (Celebrity Centre) by three Sea Org members who tried to recruit me and would not let me leave for hours. They wanted me to join, but I refused. I still have the letter my mom sent me when she disconnected from me (because I lived with my father, a declared SP).
