    in france the scientologist ratio is much better and bigger according to former spokewoman for france scientology danielle gounord they are 40000 !
  9. kthnxbai Member

    And we can always rely on Scientology spokespeople to give us accurate information! In fact there doesn't seem to be much more activity in France than in Britain. I lost track of whether or not it was condemned as an illegal or criminal organisation in France but I think there are still some trials for fraud going on. However this is a derail... :(

    This is SO pathetic. They should crawl away and hide under their beds.

    Some of the news from around the uk 2014

    In march there was a well documented scientology wedding hailed as recognition that they are now a religion in the UK. Nah we still think you are a cult.

    Three of the new ideal orgs are still awaiting redevelopment, Birmingham several years on, has still not been renovated. Plymouth still in the "planning" stage and Sunderland is rapidly deteriorating. So much for the "amazing expansion"

    Scientologists (led by Pete Dwan) still continue to invade our schools, with their Truth About Drugs Campaign. Some bloke is going to row across the atlantic to raise money for them and to realise his dream, my dream is that he would take Pete Dwan with him.

    The IAS event returned to saint hill this oct and there was a raid and videos see above.

    Oh and they are supposed to be opening a new Narconon facility in Sussex, and they need lots of word clearers and other completly untrained non medical staff to help.

    Saint Hill Going Ideal With New CLO Building | Sec Check

    This Saturday all of Scientology’s UK orgs will hold an event to announce that Saint Hill will become an Ideal Advanced Org, and that a new Continental Liaison Office (CLO) will be opening on the property. Saint Hill bills itself as the home of L. Ron Hubbard in East Grinstead, England. We’ve been hearing stories about renovations and construction at Saint Hill, and now they appear ready to announce it to the Publics. Below is a Sea Org recruiting poster courtesy of Mike Rinder which shows a portion of the new building.

    Basically just a reprint of Scientology press release, but one commenter had a sharp eye:

    The Saint Hill staff are signalling for help!

    That flag behind Miscavige is upside down! (The thick white diagonal on the side closest to the flag pole should be on the top.) Dopey Dave would never spot that distress flag, but Brit staff should have, so someone is sending a message.

    I used to do these surveys with Andy(the scary short man in St Hill). Basically every "button: or word which comes up on the surveys is used in the headline, makes it sense or not. This is Andy

  29. Scientology avoids 21% UK corporation tax by registering college in Australia.
    The Advertiser: UK-based Church of Scientology Religious Education College Inc registered as charity in Adelaide

    * * * * * BEGIN EXCERPT * * * * *

    BRITISH Scientologists collecting tens of millions of dollars are using an Adelaide address as the base for a registered Australian charity, although it spends its money in the United Kingdom.

    The UK-based Church of Scientology Religious Education College Inc is based in Pulteney St.

    Religious charities are eligible for a range of exemptions, but crucially being based in SA allows the COSRECI to try to avoid a 21 per cent corporation tax in the UK.

    It is not clear how successful the college, which has been in SA since 1977, has been in avoiding tax.

    According to financial statements lodged with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, it made £10,805,637 (about AUD $21 million) in 2014 and £12,535,163 (about $24 million) in 2013.

    * * * * * END EXCERPT * * * * *

    No kidding eh! I had to read that CoS poster several times just because it is such a wtf?!? typical scilon nonsensical mangling of English, good lordy what a verbal mess, and poster-girl looks like she's had her kidney impaled by that flag and is trying to bravely pull it out...

    But hey, its scientology, it doesn't have to make sense.

    Vintage cars and swing dancing at East Grinstead music festival | East Grinstead Courier

    Vintage cars and dresses helped turn Saint Hill Manor into a tribute to the style and class of yesteryear as 1,200 people filled the East Grinstead venue for the annual Summertime Swing festival.

    Britain's Got Talent semi-finalists The Jive Aces were the headline performers at the 12th annual event which raised £7,000 for charities including the Bluebell Railway.

    Graeme Wilson, public affairs director at the Church of Scientology, who own Saint Hill Manor, said: "It has been running for 12 years now and is always a fun and happy occasion. This year the guests were the best ever and we had a lot of people where who loved the whole event."

    Summertime Swing will take place next year on August 6 at Saint Hill Manor from 2 to 7pm.
