Scientology claim: Swedish armed forces partnering with Scientology

Among the agencies which the Church of Scientology claims to be working with in the 2009 LRH birthday event video, is the Swedish Armed Forces. Now, it is possible that this may be a lie like the one about the Norwegian Armed Forces (xenu.net writeup), it is also possible that there might be a grain of truth in it. We should fact check this.

With the CoS's penchant for exaggeration, it wouldn't surprise me if it amounted to some Scilon doing his compulsory military service handing out some "Way to happiness" brochures to his buddies. (who would then promptly decide that, in the case of war, he would be first they'd 'frag' )

TWTH would probably be the main suspect, since that's what they claimed in Norway. CCHR is unlikely, since it's not relevant at all. Narconon isn't likely either, since the military doesn't do drug rehab, Swedish municipalities do. "LRH management tech"? Well.. the military has their own "management tech", it's called a "military academy".

Most probable event IMHO: Scilons sent them some unsolicited TWTH booklets to distribute, and Försvarsmakten duly dumped them in the trash. (Like so many libraries before them..)

Right, just spoken to a friend who is serving in the Swedish Army. No sign of any implementation of LRH tech, scientology, TWTH or dianetics in the Army. Most officers are apparently highly sceptical. Friend knows about Scientology and knows to avoid it like the plague.
Am now asking a friend who's in the Swedish Air Force... will let you know...

I think they have learned their lesson about making shit up, but I guess I should never be surprised to be disappointed by DM.

The thing is, the system is rigged toward generating fake wins and statistics, because Scientologists get awards and less pressure when they show themselves as great disseminators, so there's an incentive towards exaggerating and just plain making shit up like that Norwegian Scientologist did. I hope they sent him to a False Purpose Rundown or something like that after that fiasco.

Now, in Sweden I suspect something like either Way to Happiness pamphlets, or perhaps Narconon sending people to talk to Swedish soldiers about how drugs are bad.

Oh goodie, part 2 of the video is up now. Maybe they'll say more about the Swedish armed forces in part 2.

Someone wot speaks the lingo, telephone someone senior, perhaps in the S. Army's press relations department. Explain that you're involved in a campaign to raise awareness about Scientology's fraud and abuse, and were EXTREMELY concerned, to hear the "Church" claiming to be in a partnership. Offer to forward the video, so that they can clarify, [prob worth mentioning] that there's a strong chance that the media will pick up the story (as they have when previous leaks+claims have occurred).

Hopefully, this may then become a self-fulfilling prophecy

Depending on their response, and the outcome, you could also forward to relevant national media.

Back in 1998, some researcher at the Int Base served up some data about the King of Sweden backing Scientology in the country and Dave was quick to have a whole video done about it. It played at an Event and some OG sent the video to the King of Sweden, he and the queen were not impressed and publicly bitch slapped the Scilons. I remember because the bitchslap was felt back at the base big time. Anyway, shit is made up all the time like this. If some Scilon got a wave from some Army Swede, then The Swedish army supported them! "It's all how it gets interpreted" Dave Miscavige would say.

I wonder if Scientology international would notice or even care if you just plain made up some city or law enforcement agency, dressed up your neighbour as a police commissioner, and took some photos, would they include it in their event videos? In the past they would have, as seen by all the fake endorsements in the past, but maybe it works still?

I'd LOL hard if I saw Bartertown, or Rlyeh, or some other fictional city featured as a TWTH partner.

I got mayor of Brewerton. I started a list, but didn't get very far as my brain tried escaping right around the 20 minute mark. Rewinding, listening, transcribing, etc etc was too much for even me. Will try to continue this weekend, but help would be nice. Would it be worth it to start a thread of the "partners" Lil Dave has mentioned?

People can list all the lies that get debunked there. Then someone can complie and make and epic video of the list.

Perhaps build list here and then post as new thread for analysis, verification and debunking.

One poignant image I like is the bit where DM says Scilon sites have more traffic than other religious sites is the image of our traffic V their premium sites. Also, build some stats from religious sites too. It's such a nebulous claim it's easy to show conflicting figures.

When done we could produce a booklet and video David Miscavige's LRH Birthday speech LIES 2009. Which will be way better than the crock that is "Anonymous: Hate Crimes" etc.
