Although they are set forth in various posts above, I want to briefly summarize Rizza Islam's Scientology qualifications here.

At age 13, Islam became a paid staff member at the Scientology front-group World Literacy Crusade (WLC) and trained at the Hubbard College of Administration as a Course Supervisor. He later became an International Ambassador for the WLC and the director of museum promotion for the Scientology front-group Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) International.

The following succinct biography is from Rizza Islam's scheduled appearance at the National Unity Summit in 2014. The website has unfortunately been since been deleted.





In 2013, Rizza Islam received the Scientology Youth For Human Rights Award.




He also spoke at the Church of Scientology Flag Land Base in Clearwater, FL.

Pretrial for the People vs. Ronnie Steven “Rizza” Islam began late yesterday in Judge Perry’s courtroom. There was a problem with the elevators at the Downtown Los Angeles Criminal Courts and all departments were late. We were early, as usual, and watched as the parties made their way into the courtroom. A fellow who told a bailiff he was from Rizza’s mosque arrived and took a seat. Next, the two OSA legal representatives arrived as we had expected. This case is very much back on OSA’s radar because the Church of Scientology and Narconon will likely feature prominently in the trial.

Hanan Islam and her two daughters, Zakiyyah and Nimat Islam, arrived next followed by the Prosecutor and two of the defense attorneys. An ABC cameraman arrived with ABC Los Angeles reporter Lisa Bartley. Judge Perry refused to allow the camera in for the pretrial motion. The Judge left open the possibility of cameras in the courtroom for the trial. The OSA reps took note of this.

Flanked by three burly Nation of Islam bodyguards, Rizza Islam entered the courtroom last. The Nation of Islam clearly wanted to make a statement that it is supporting Rizza. This video, published in October 2019, went viral on Facebook in the same month and has received at least 3,000 shares and 52,000 views. The video shows an interview in which Rizza Islam claims that the MMR vaccination program in Africa is part of a “depopulation agenda”.

For something to cause depopulation, it must reduce the birth rate and/or increase mortality rates. Firstly, no evidence exists to support the notion that the MMR vaccine reduces fertility. Secondly, there is also no evidence showing that the MMR vaccine leads to death. While many have claimed that data from the US Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) is proof to the contrary, it is important to keep in mind that VAERS only tracks deaths occurring after vaccination – on its own, the data does not imply that the MMR vaccine caused the deaths.

The MMR vaccine has been found to be safe and effective. In fact, the vaccine saves lives – the latest findings from a 2019 study on the measles vaccination campaign in India also back this up, reporting that “the campaign averted up to 41,000–56,000 deaths during 2010–13, or 39–57% of the expected deaths nationally”[1]. Additionally, the vaccine also protects people from potentially disabling conditions, such as measles encephalitis, which occurs in a small subset (0.1%) of measles cases, as well as potentially life-threatening infections arising from measles-induced immunosuppression[2,3,4].

Historical observations show how measles infection resulted in widespread death and depopulation during “virgin soil epidemics” (e.g. during Christopher Columbus’ expedition to the New World)[5,6], something that could have been prevented if the measles vaccine had been available then. All these facts show that the MMR vaccine would prevent depopulation, not cause it.
