Narconon South Texas

Narconon has for over 40 years been providing drug rehabilitation and drug education service and treatment.

It is Narconon’s goal to produce drug-free responsible members of society. We want to eradicate and eliminate drug abuse and addiction for everyone. It is our purpose to educate youth about drugs and their addictive power.

Narconon provides courses on drug education, basic learning skills, communication skills and basic ethics and morals.

We provide daily service at the Harlingen Outreach Center for Army cadets and GEMS as well as for CPF and the Rio Grande Council and Judge Sally Truancy Courts.

The executive director is Joseph Saucida.

]Most recently Mr. Sauceda was among an elite group of local Civic, Business & Educational Leaders that opened the “Harlingen Community Out-Reach Center”.

The Center puts under one roof various services that are made available to the “at risk Youth” and their families in Cameron County. Joseph was invited to Narconon South Texas, is now delivering Truth about Drugs presentations as well as a Learning Skills Course free of charge.

“We started with two students 6 months ago and now we average 10 a week. The kids are so appreciative and it’s a blessing to work with and for them! This fall we expect to double our enrolment as several Judges and the Juvenile Probation Department will begin referring young people to us. Our aim is to provide our community’s youth with the tools necessary to survive the challenging and often hostile environment and reach their goals and dreams.”

Mr. Sauceda has received commendations for his work including a letter from the Cameron County Juvenile Probation Department and the Texas State Senate.
