    Can you scan and email? Otherwise maybe fax to 08 8232 3744

    In either case, make sure you state on the cover page/email that the originals are available for inspection and are in the post to his address

    I think however the OP of this thread or some of the 'aussie 7' maybe have a better way of getting the petitions to him but seeing as its sunday night i'd say email or fax

    Do we have a deadline for getting these in? I've still got to do some uploading a few media related things and sort out a few post raid issues before I go to bed.

    Scan and fax petitions asap! No deadline that I know of but Parliament is meeting today!!!

    Replace 08 with 618 if your outside of Oz.

    This is the only number Carmel had. The person she is working with never got back to her with another number.

    IMPORTANT:

    I have just spoken with Xenophon's office. We are NOT to send in emailed/scanned/faxed copies. In order for our signatures to be of use we MUST send in original copies.

    I also confirmed that any previous petitions regarding the Tax Exempt status are of use. I know Melbourne has a fair few hundred of those, so we will be sending them along as well.

    Also, if the person who created the epetition reads this, PLEASE could you post to this thread ASAP, so that we know what's happening with it.

    I'd planned to screencap it and forward it if necessary, but based on Nex's comments, it sounds as though that's pointless.

    Would be really appreciated, as I know that people have spent quite a bit of time trying to get as many people to sign it as possible.

    I shall call the lovely lady and enquire regarding the epetition. Those of you outside of Australia, post them to the address I mentioned above. The more the merrier. And yes, provide originals.

    Looking into the epetition now.

    Tazor, relax. It doesn't stop us from getting originals in. Postage internationally is cheap for documents. If the epetition is useless, yes it is a blow, but we know for next time.

    Hey nex, I think the concern from diligent and good hearted anons is that the vote is TODAY, which gives zero opportunity to get original petitions to OZ. epetitions are a valid petitioning method these days.
    What says the good lady at Xenophon's office?
    You know we want to be effective in our help...

    While I realize the vote is today, she still assured us that the petitions would be of use. Xenophon will refer to them today, we need to send them in so that he has them to back up his claims of support.

    Couldn't get hold of her to check the epetition, but I will of course keep trying. Leave it in my wonderfully capable hands, loves.

    Okay more info from Carmel,

    I reckon that in addition to posting hard copies, we should post:

    Number of people signed, City, Country

    in a single thread. That way, at least the figures can be forwarded, with the hard copies in the mail. [This is only my own suggestion, but I don't see that it can do any harm; and will hopefully help]
