    Random Friend Requests

I did a search for this, but can't seem to find it anywhere here in the forum.

I just got a random friend request from a youtube user that joined today. Should I be putting on the tinfoil hat? The guy subscribed to my channel and everything. I'm a little bit weirded out. Has anyone else gotten a random friend request from Anonymous2735?

    Don't add friends. Problem solved.

I didn't. I chose to ignore his request. I'm thinking about unsubscribing him. Is there anything special he can gain by looking at my channel as a subscriber as opposed to a regular user stumbling on my channel?

Ok, I went ahead and unsubscribed him from my channel. I'm still weirded out. Oh well.

    dude... -.-

    learn 2 anonyous

its part of the credo: "anonymous is not your friend, not your personal army..." all that this

anonymous is per defintion NOT NICE. anonymous trolls even more so.

people generally dont use the 'name' of anonymous outside the *chans or chanology or any other established anon-hangout...

    K. I did feel that people who didn't know it already should be given a heads up about it.

You have a YT account that isn't a sock? The point of having an account on YT for Co$ stuff is so that it's disposable.

    Steps to sock:

    1. make a disposable email account
    2. use it to make disposable accounts on other sites

It's too late for this one.

Some one take him out back and put him out of his misery before he hurts himself.

the simplicity of the answer ended up confusing me.

I'd say let him subscribe, but "befriending" on YouTube is usually not useful for anyone but those who want to share videos with a closed group. We want to show them to the whole world.

The practical side of friend requests is that they let them post bulletins on your page, watch your private videos, make comments on videos if you made the comments friend-only etc.
