This is downright scary and I trust the U.S. goverment's take on all this as far as I can spit. First, there all the reports that there is no way the radiation will come to the U.S., then that was change to "minimal" and now some scientists are claiming there's a slight chance it will hit the Western U.S. by air & water. Wow!!

Smurf, are you insinuating that our Gov would lie to us? I'm shocked.

um, do you not even read your own websites?
"ote that these are generally run by individuals, and not all readings may be accurate. Do not panic because you see a high reading. Someone could be getting invalid readings.
Treat this for information purposes only, do not make safety decisions based upon it."

Hmmmm.... lemme make sure I understand all this.
    • One single station picks up a brief spike.
    • Readings return to normal a few minutes later.
    • This station happens to be situated between two other stations, neither of which recorded this "radiation spike".
    • The data came from a site that has this disclaimer: Note that these are generally run by individuals, and not all readings may be accurate. Do not panic because you see a high reading. Someone could be getting invalid readings.
    • The first video blames a news blackout on the Illuminati.
    • The second video spends half the time trying to sell something.

Are you starting to see the stupid or do I need to explain it to you?

oh, and not to mention that the weather patterns arc over alaska->canada->washington->oregon before ever reaching SoCal.

There's a reason they call him Governor Moonbeam, you know.

Forget it. You're probably one of those feds, too.

All the people in the Pacific Northwest light up like a glow stick before dying a miserable death before it hits SoCal. Well, that's comforting.

I never believed the PR. One word: Westerlies.

I commented on CNN the fallacy of comparing the distance of Chernobyl-New York with the distance of Fukushiima-West Coast U.S. -- they were claiming that the fall out from Chernobyl never reached New York and thus since Chernobyl is closer to New York than Fukushiima is to the West Coast, the fall out from Fukushiima won't reach the U.S.

But this is a nonsensical comparison, because the dominant wind pattern in the Northern Hemisphere is west-east, so taking this into account, Chernobyl was way more distant to New York (and even Los Angeles for that matter) than Fukushiima is from Los Angeles. CNN never let my comment through. I found this "interesting."

I'm starting to think Californians will most likely die from freaking out long before any radiation ever gets there. If it ever gets there.

  32. Well... Its not like im a virgin to ultimate life ending dissasters
after all i lived in NYC when 9/11 went down, and altho it was horrifying, i was okay cuz i was huddled in bed cowering with my mom and my sisters so i dint worry.
Right now im all the way in South America with no way to get in touch with my mom to warn her. Its driving me nuts.

Soon, saying of a woman she is glowing will have a new meaning

  36. lulzgasm Member

Any online friends in the States you know and trust to get a call to her?
  37. lulzgasm Member

wasn't that before most of us were born?
  38. yeah dont remind me.
ima start turning purple from holding my breath in desperation!
  39. anoninoob Member

Dood, seriously. There is no radiation from japan reaching the US. take a look at a fracking globe sometime, Japan is `1/4 of the world away. It would literally take 6-10 days for a radiation cloud to reach us and that would be if Dai-ichi had a catastrophic core failure.

  40. nah... im due back the 24th so it'll be okay.
my mom already thinks im a terrorist because of my involvment with anonymous.
dont need to give her any more fuel for her delusional fire haha
i mean she is on facebook and ive posted and reposted warnings like a motherfucker.
i hope she can get her head outta ass and her problems to take a look.
