Will you faggots STFU about this? The last thing we need is for the inquiry to get chucked out on a technicality because you bunch of retards convinced Larry to break Aussie law and leak the info to us?

Patience, people, Mr Brennan always delivers, as and when he can.

But yeah, if the Senate says no then that is the end of it until they say yes.

    Entirely agree with this.

If you can't wait, just go ahead and read Larry's e-book. I suppose a good deal of whatever he said is in there. So let's not undermine the good done in Australia.

Just do what the senate says you can do; we can wait.

If it would make David Miscavige turn red and throw things/slap people, then I could wait and wait and wait.

This. Also, I bet Slappy and his OSA henchmen are desperate to know what took place. Scilons hate a mystery of any kind, because it goes against "knowingness"... so please keep them (and us) in suspense at least until the findings of the inquiry are published in late August.

    No worries.

Well...why we're waiting, does anyone know if there's been any follow up to the Attorney General's investigation mentioned in the ACA piece? Or the ATO/HMRC look at the COSRECI "not a charity in Australia, but claims to be an Australian charity in the UK?

he goes on and gives a few example to try and say the public benefits test is religious persicution

comparing Senator Nick Xenophon's public benefit test to Nazism?..considering the public benefit test is used in other countries this is a bit far reaching..

WOGS! evil suppressive news media and Apostates! OMG !

    same tired exaggerations...

Re: Public Benefit Test - Day 2 Hearing

^He should spend less time writing self-serving articles and more on getting the accounts paperwork in order and subitted to the NZ Charities Comission website in time so it doesn't look like NZ Scientology is useless or trying to hide something.

In fact Ferriss has quite some nerve spewing this rubbish when the Australian cult of scientology has still yet to submitt its accounts to the Senate Inquiry as they promised to do, claiming they were open and available. Also Ferriss was supposed to clarify anomalies in their 2007/2008 figures. None of this has been done. What's the hold up?

Someone should add that irony to the comments in that ABC article.

They can hardly submit Receipts that don't exist, now can they?

Financial Records are the Silver and Sunlight demise of the vampire cult of scientology.

Speaking of which, another week later, guess what? Yes, the NZ scientology 2009 accounts submission to the charities commission is still late.

Re: Public Benefit Test - Day 2 Hearing

Has anyone heard anything regarding ATO looking into the "nonprofit" in SA, yet claiming to be a SA "charity" in the UK to obtain tax benefits?

  28. Re: Public Benefit Test - Day 2 Hearing

I've heard nothing. And nothing on the senate inquiry since the public hearings. They have to do a lot of inter jurisdictional paperwork I suspect for the UK/SA thing.

Re: Public Benefit Test - Day 2 Hearing

A couple of new additions to the submissions page:
    http://www.aph.gov.au/Senate/committee/economics_ctte/public_benefit_test_10/submissions.htm

    Public submissions:
    #88 confidential

    Answers to Questions on Notice:
#5 Received from the Treasury on 12 August 2010; answers to Questions on Notice taken at a public hearing on 29 June 2010 in Canberra.(PDF 53KB)

Still nothing from the cult, in particular the accounts information for Australia which they said was "open" and an official explanation of the huge discrepencies in the NZ accounts between 2007/2008. These things were promised during the hearings (btw let it also be noted that NZ Scientology accounts for 2009 are 6 weeks overdue to the NZ Charities Comission). They don't give a fuck do they?

    Other News:
The final report due on 31st August, has been delayed till 7th September, as reported in this thread:
    http://forums.whyweprotest.net/318-...y/australia-senate-ctee-report-delayed-70781/
  30. Re: Public Benefit Test - Day 2 Hearing

Aside from it reflecting badly on them (and that poor reflection potentially being taken into consideration for the final report), are there any repercussions, legal or otherwise, to the Cult failing to deliver the dox they promised?

Re: Public Benefit Test - Day 2 Hearing

I'm not excatly sure what the Senate committee's contempt powers are, when someone fails to provide documentary evidence about which they were recorded as promising to hand over.

There's also a slight possibility that dox have been handed over but they've just changed their mind on the confidentiality status and don't want them public.
IDK. We'll just have to wait and see how this reflects in the final report.

Re: Public Benefit Test - Day 2 Hearing

The many ex-sci accounts that claim that things need to be done yesterday, everything is an emergency, probably starts right here. Pulling people from one job here and there, to find people to help with juggling books, meeting deadlines and running out of people..... Ugh, must be exhausting!
  33. BigBeard Member

Re: Public Benefit Test - Day 2 Hearing

I suspect there will be if it's discovered the delay was due to having to "cook" the books to make the numbers come out right.
