AnonStillAlive.com was designed as a resource to help new Anons, media, and others to quickly and easily make contact with local Anonymous groups around the world. Then I got lazy. To fully resurrect this site we will need: - People willing to as around for contact information for any and all irl Anonymous groups- People from those groups to submit written descriptions of their group- People to locate online-only Anonymous resources- People familiar with WordPress to do data entry- People willing to help tag dataPrevious years have managed to collect this data with as few as 3 or 4 people, but with the massive decentralization over the last couple years and the wide variety of causes operating under the Anon banner, I think it will be a lot harder this time around. The problem with attempting to find local people on WWP is that cities and regions don't have their own clearly listed and easily accessible page. The best you can do here is search for the nearest city for you in the events section and hope that a) they post here and b) they've done something recently. It's either that or posting random "WHERE ARE ALL THE GUYS FROM LOWER EAST BUMFUCK?" threads. Having a website just for group listings helps people find local forums or websites, facebook groups, email addresses, and all the other ways that many anon groups now do their planning outside of WWP. When this was first launched, the admins of WWP liked the idea enough to supply it with a @whyweprotest.net email address and pimped it on irc. With the switch to WordPress, my goal is to have the database easier to search based on not just the names, but what initiatives the group participates in. This will be particularly useful in cities like New York, where there are two separate groups operating in the same area. Someone looking for Chanology would need to find Motherfuckery, but if they wanted general freedom of information actions they need to be sent to the other group, which as far as I can tell right now is only on facebook. WWP does an excellent job of allowing people from all over the world to meet, discuss Anonymous initiatives relevant to their interests, and to announce events. ASA gives new Anons a chance to figure out if they're on their own in the area, or if there is already a group waiting for them.

Im petitioning the mods for moderating privileges of this forum as we speak. now the tricky part it to get in tocuh with the people that run anonstilllives.com and get things popping. I know anonstilllives.com is the reason why i got to protest with my cell after a long time of being an anon alone in my city.
No further mods will be needed. The site owner is known and very busy. I'm sure at some stage in the future it can be worked on.

This is still proceeding, and will be picking up pace very soon. I’m hoping to that stillalive were grow to serve not just as a directory listings, but a resource of guides and information on how to use the techniques and methods of anonymity in pursuit of both chanology and non-chanology initiatives. Aside from just being a great idea to have such information freely available, I’m hoping such will generate momentum to help keep stillalive an easier to manage beast when it comes to updating. The original stillalive site had solely chanology listings, and the hope is to broaden that to include other initiatives such as net neutrality, freedom on information, etc. The potential tripping point I see is whether, in broadening out in this way, ‘we’* want to be listing and promoting moonbat sites. A discussion on these points is welcomed, and I will be eagerly listening to any input and suggestions on these points. *‘we’ refers to the chanologists and anon groups that stillalive was originally set up to cater for. If you can remember the drama regarding the Germans and occupy you can understand the concerns I’m referring to.
