Suggestions welcome. This one will take longer to make due to the need for more complex conversion and editing of the source videos. There were others I wanted to use, but the source files are simply too rough.

Unlike the previous DVD, this one will include some Easter Eggs. :D

I think The Road to Feb 10th should be included again if this is to be handed to the public, as it gives a good overview of where this all started.

It may be hard to squeeze on though.

I'm not sure if there is space to.
That is on the first disc.

Does anyone else think it might be be a good idea to have some of these (meaning the first DVD and this one when it is released) delivered to news organizations to help get their attention?

    How could it hurt?
Its just a shame they have to have their homework done for them, and even then, don't get it.

Re: Project: Blockbuster II - LURK MOAR edition

Yeah, these DVDs are geared towards politicians, family members of Anonymous, the unaware public, and lazy journalists.
I don't really recommend passing them out in bulk at protests though. And for most contacts it would be better to just e-mail the set of links.

Re: Project: Blockbuster II - LURK MOAR edition

If this is intended for a non-Anon audience, it may be a good idea to remove "Message from Anonymous to Anonymous" and "March 15th Anonymous Reminder", since the main contents of those were directed towards Anons and would work more to confuse, or even scare, general public types. The latter vid is doubly unnecessary since the Onward to 3/15 vid gives enough info for the outsider without having to focus so much on the nature of Anonymous. They have some slight educational merit, but the space would be better off allocated for vids with a wider scope, like the Road to Feb 10. It's on the first disc, yes, but putting it on the second disc allows it (the disc) to stand on its own more without relying on a person having the first disc to go with it.

Also, epic fail on my part for having never seen Thunderf00t's vid before. :(

Re: Project: Blockbuster II - LURK MOAR edition

While I can agree Message to Anonymous possible has no importance outside of Anonymous, I feel that the Anonymous Reminder video provides excellent points of clarification for both Anons and non-Anons.

So I will be dumping only the "Message to Anonymous" and replacing it with the FINAL version of Road to February 10th.
Now I just have to wait for "Road to March 15th" to reach final.

    YouTube - Mind Control Cults

This is an older video that is recommended on ESK. I haven't seen anyone here recommend it, but it very clearly outlines COS internal practices, without ever naming scientology. Since it was made in 2006 it also far predates anonymous as an anti-scientology movement.

Re: Project: Blockbuster II - LURK MOAR edition

I'm not sure I have space to fit that one in (I'm trying to stay under 4GB). It would be a good easter egg, but I'm not sure how poignant or relevant it is in the eyes of Joe Public.
  12. Re: Project: Blockbuster II - LURK MOAR edition

Mind Control Made Easy was created in 2006 by Carey Burtt and based on the mind control theories of Robert J. Lifton.

THIS VIDEO NEEDS TO BE SEEN. It's important that we educated the public so they do not fall under the spell of these evil organizations.
  13. Re: Project: Blockbuster II - LURK MOAR edition

I am consistently amazed by the results that everyone here has been producing. With such a wealth of material available, I appreciate your careful judgments to continue to maintain the quality of this compilation. I feel the information is relevant, but hadn't considered issues beyond that.

Re: Project: Blockbuster II - LURK MOAR edition

First I'll have to see if it will fit. If it will I'll put it in the Media on Scientology section. If I do add it I will want to make a submenu for it with a description clarifying it's contents, because without some background information on it in the eyes of some people it just comes off as being satirical in nature and they tune out to the message.

Re: Project: Blockbuster II - LURK MOAR edition

What are your thoughts on putting "The Profit" on one of these DVD distributions?

IMO. The Bridge is a much more accurate and higher quality movie. I actually prefer this current direction you are taking. Its a good idea to keep the fictional videos to a minimum and include more documentaries like the BBC one instead.

Re: Project: Blockbuster II - LURK MOAR edition

Playlist updated. DVDs apparently have a limited number of titles that you can fit on one disc. The total run time I can fit on one disc is 5 hours and 20 minutes.
I couldn't even finish watching it. And I LOVE bad movies so that's saying something. This particular disc is about letting the media speak for itself in relation to Scientology, rather than having Anonymous or other "critics" do it.

Re: Project: Blockbuster II - LURK MOAR edition

Waiting on a finalized and higher quality download of "Onward: Road to March 15th" to become available because the methods available for downloading the current version result in most of the text being too compressed to read easily. The current version also has several proofing errors.

Re: Project: Blockbuster II - LURK MOAR edition

Okay. I just hope its not like last time that I downloaded the image like one day before the protest, which led to me having less DVD's than expected to hand out.

This is looking more and more like it's going to be that way again. OP - Maybe you can try contacting Pelvidar directly? Us Ausfags are waiting on the second dvd image so we can add it to double dvd cases done up specifically for this.

Is the new version even out already? D:

Edit: I just saw the thread. Yeah it's the new version. So now I'll have to wait for this Image.

yes... we need moar seeds early on. but, i hav no solution, as i am doing nothing to help this go any faster, im just bitching and moaning.
keep up the good work though

Re: Project: Blockbuster II - LURK MOAR edition

He said he was too busy working on the DVD release version to get a separate copy to me. And the version that's available now isn't downloading very quickly.

Getting Blockbuster II finished and available with 3 seeds before 4/12 will depend on how smoothly the conversion process goes with the currently available files of the final version of Road to March 15.
Every other part of the disc is already finished.

Re: Project: Blockbuster II - LURK MOAR edition

Ideas. Can't you seed this as a multi-file torrent with VIDEO_TS and .vob
and just update the one vob when it is done with the ROAD TO 15th? (Or a rar and then people could download the extra final video)

We could start seeding that torrent now and just replace the torrent with a final one. There would be a placeholder file for the .vob for the ROAD.

    amirite?

Then it would be a final torrent that has a bunch of people starting at 90%.

Or does it have to go out as a .ISO?

First compile running now. If the image works as expected the torrent will be ready and seeded before noon tomorrow.

Re: Project: Blockbuster II - LURK MOAR edition

I would have thought the two Big Story programmes (UK national TV from 1995 and 1996) would be useful here.

"Inside the Cult" using undercover filming:
The Big Story on Scientology: Inside the Cult (Video)
(haven't got a high quality source for this)

"The S-Files"; focusing on financial crimes and high-pressure sales techniques, as well as the death of Richard Collins:
The Big Story: Scientology - The S Files

I have a DVD of the latter - 800 Meg file so probably best if I send it by mail?

The DVD also has the Newsnight (highly credible late-night BBC news programme) item and studio discussion from 1996 and The Net: Scientology versus the Internet from 1995.
    Scientology on Newsnight 1996 1/2
    Scientology on Newsnight 1996 2/2
YouTube - Scientology versus the Internet: BBC's "The Net"

Switch the tracker you are using to http://open.tracker.thepiratebay.org/ (In Azureus, double-click on the torrent, then right click on the Tracker URL, choose "Select", then pick the tracker in question).

Re: Project: Blockbuster II - LURK MOAR edition

Well, we could always make a third disc...
Each disc is limited to a maximum of 18 separate titles.

As of now there are at least 2 active seeds. There should be more by tonight.

This thread NEEDS to be stickied.

Also, is alyone working on DVD labels or case covers for these? If so, I'd like to request a version of the cover that includes the data for both DVDs. I'd like to hand them to the media as a set in a 2-disc jewel case.

I'll try to get it finished later tonight.
