I believe that Tony made a correction to what you copy-pasted - it's DAN, not Dave Newman.

I wonder how Devon Newman's passing her Sunday in the Slammer?

P.S. And no, I don't really feel much sympathy for this 67-year-old person. She's an idiot. This is what happens to some idiots.

  13. Whether you call it Prison Art, Inmate Art, Jailhouse Art or Outsider Art, prisoners in our jails and prisons have produced inspiring works which puts the lie to any idea that men and women behind bars cannot recover their lives and cannot become fit to rejoin society.

The Criminon program focuses on the rehabilitation of the prisoner through the restoration of his self-respect. With his regained respect comes increasing respect from others, reversing the dehumanizing process he has experienced up to this point. Criminon students have contributed a number of pieces of art: we will be offering reproductions to the general public. We are actively collecting up more art and encouraging prisoners to express their native creativity.

The Criminon Art Projects has these objectives:
To provide a means for prisoners to share their art and help other prisoners.

To foster and encourage artistic projects in prisons and jails in cooperation with other like-minded groups, providing support and art supplies.

To help change public stereotypes about incarcerated people

To raise public awareness on the urgent need and successes obtainable in rehabilitating criminals.

To help defray the costs of free courses delivered to prisoners by putting the profits of all sales back into delivering more Criminon courses to any prisoner who requests them. (All artists receive copies of their works for their own distribution as well.)

  15. I hopes she uses Mary Sue Hubbard as her role model, Criminon successfully rehabilitated her:

Mary Sue Hubbard had cut a deal with the FBI, the GO staff would not argue against the government’s evidence against them, in exchange for not putting L. Ron Hubbard in jail. Ron Hubbard escaped jail that way – he was an unindicted co-conspirator in the charges.

  16. This Tampa Times article over the weekend didn't mention Newman's Las Vegas Celebrity Center PR Director position or SeaOrg past and it sports a virgin comment section at the moment.

"The two stood before a judge Friday and told him they didn't recognize his authority."
That's the typical line from sovereign citizen/freeman on the land types and it never ends well for them.

Why I wasn't a bit surprised. And how it relates to Scientology.

When I first read this story, I was struck by the fact that I was not the least bit surprised. I was then reminded yet again of a quotation attributed to Voltaire that I frequently think of when the topic of Scientology comes up -- "Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities."

Briefly and generally (at least to start), how it relates to Scientology. Take an individual who perhaps had a preexisting tendency, but was certainly trained, conditioned, and inculcated over years, to believe in conspiracy theories.

Take an individual who perhaps had a preexisting tendency, but was certainly trained, conditioned, and inculcated over years, to also believe (and indeed "know") that everything is going to hell.

Take an individual who perhaps had a preexisting tendency, but was certainly trained, conditioned, and inculcated over years, to also believe (and indeed "know") that the earth is a prison planet caught in a dwindling spiral.

Take an individual who perhaps had a preexisting tendency, but was certainly trained, conditioned, and inculcated over years, to also believe (and indeed "know") that the only enemies of mankind are twelve bankers, and/or a Nazi caricature of the "psychs," and/or the Marcabs, and/or Xenu, together or working in concert.

Take an individual who perhaps had a preexisting tendency, but was certainly trained, conditioned, and inculcated over years, to also believe (and indeed "know") that the only reason another person suffers harm, or more importantly is harmed, is because that other person "pulled it in."

Take an individual who perhaps had a preexisting tendency, but was certainly trained, conditioned, and inculcated over years, to also believe (and indeed "know") that, perhaps most importantly, because the ethical action is only that which does the greatest good for the greatest number of dynamics, the ends justify the means -- always.

No. I was not the least bit surprised.

  20. Public Relations Tech by LRH:

It is my specific intention that by the use of professional PR
tactics any opposition be not only dulled but permanently
eradicated. This takes data and planning before positive action
    can occur. (LRH)

Experience has shown that defence is only effective when one
    sorties or attacks.

The errors we have made have been:

    1. Defending only.

    2. Defending on Scientology ground.

    3. Being reasonable and assigning mild motives to the enemy.

    4. Failing to attack early and hard.

    5. Undervaluing the broad social value of Scientology.

    6. Individuating from other similar organizations.

    7. Not learning enemy tactics and using and bettering them.

    8. Failing to heavily contest for public opinion and
    public media.

    9. Failing to identify the enemy early and hit him hard. (LRH)

(from BOARD POLICY LETTER 30 May 1974 PR Series 24, _HANDLING HOSTILE
CONTACTS/DEAD AGENTING_, by Alethiea C. Taylor (as ordered by L. Ron
    Hubbard))

    This is the correct procedure:

    1. Spot who is attacking us.

    2. Start investigating them promptly for FELONIES or worse
using our own professionals, not outside agencies.

    3. Double curve our reply by saying we welcome an investigation
    of them.

    4. Start feeding lurid, blood sex crime actual evidence on
the attackers to the press. (LRH)

(from BOARD POLICY LETTER 30 May 1974 PR Series 24, _HANDLING HOSTILE
CONTACTS/DEAD AGENTING_, by Alethiea C. Taylor (as ordered by L. Ron
    Hubbard))

Also press releases should always contain some factor of
endurance. This gives the public the idea that we endure.
    Examples:

"For many years now we have stated "

"We have stood up to such attacks many times and are still
    surviving and expanding."

    "Since 1950 we have "

    "Eighteen years ago "

ALWAYS ATTACK in a press release. Never Defend or Deny. (LRH)

I find this to be really nice news but also strange.

David Allen Brutsche gets bail set at 600K$, and the cult cunt gets no bail. WTF???

Point taken. If true, then the legal team members attending to this case are aware of the cult as a black hole that people can disappear into or down. Win!
  28. Anonymous Member

Not sure there is sufficient evidence to prove that a person is a flight risk based solely on the fact that they are a Scientologist.

Bail is on the conspiracy to kidnap charge. No bail on the ATTEMPTED kidnappy or the conspiracy to murder. In other words, no bond on the more serious of the charges. My not so educated guess is that equals no bail for him either. Right? I mean, why bother trying to bond out on the one charge if the others are no bond? But WFT do I know.

    It's a Medical thing -

LAS VEGAS -- One of the accused co-conspirators in a plot to kidnap and kill a Las Vegas police officer had her bail set at $200,000.

Devon Newman appeared in Las Vegas Justice Court Monday morning. Her attorney said Newman had recently completed cancer treatment and has medical issues with her thyroid and believes she would get better treatment outside of jail.

Investigators believe Newman and David Brutsche belong to a Sovereign Citizens movement that doesn't believe in following U.S. laws.

Everyone gets better treatment when they are outside of jail. Maybe you should of thought about all the better treatment you'd get before you conspired to kill a cop.
