Portland Ideal Morgue Opening - may 11 2013

Discussion in 'USA - West Coast' started by Charles Carmichael, Feb 20, 2013.

  1. Really? Miscavige is coming out of hiding for this event? Babbitt may want to alert the local Sherrif if he wants Miscavige served for the Garcia lawsuit.

Hrmm. I may have a conflict -- which would be a shame; I really look forward to getting the band back together.

On Facebook this morning, Tony Ortega posted:

On May 11, Scientology's newest "Ideal Org" will open in Portland, Oregon, and we have an internal e-mail that shows just how much effort is going into putting on a good show -- which makes us wonder, does David Miscavige really think anyone outside of the church really care about these events?

David Miscavige pulls out all the stops for the Portland Idle Org opening...
However, even the hardest kool-aid drinkers figure out what's going on.

They promise to come, but no, ha ha, not really.

The turnout at the org looks like this:

    David Miscavige goes berserk!

He orders heavy ethics on everybody!

    Everyone leaves.

    The End.

  9. TL;DR VERSION We need lots and lots munnay before we can open,

can someone calculate their goal vs attending and "donating! scilons? I want to see many slaves they require to be present
i've got a feeling they'd have muster flotilla sized drone fleets tp reach their goal.

Well. I, for one, cannot thank our undercover operatives enough! Without this descent into unblinking fanaticism, there's no telling how long this group could have dragged on. As it is, they'll either be poor or sent through ethics (on their way to being poor) and the group will simply dwindle away.
    Nice work!

    Two words - "Beyond Desperate"

It's obvious from the dispatch, that no one is coming. The word is out, and Austin Nichols knows it.

Austin's worse nightmare is about to come true -

Austin's time would be better spent figuring out an escape plan BEFORE going to the "non-event" in Portland on May 11th.

I think the main point of this e-mail might put some dampening on the enthusiasm to go to the event for the average cultist. If there ever was any doubt to begin with, it goes to show this cult is all about the money. I hope this get spread far and wide!

Thanks to Rinder for bringing this one to Ortega and thus into wider circulation!

As of May 6th the Idle mOrg location had surveillance cameras installed. They are positioned two to each side, including the Pay To Park parking lot adjacent to the building. I am including pictures taken a day after the lrh birthday event where you can seen the drill holes for said cameras. I am also including a peek inside, it was taken while the curtains were up.

I really do hope there is some merchants of chaos that can part take in all the wonderful entheata that this deranged cult deserves.

    Hopeful Portlander

    ps
Fuck you Co$. Portland had zero need for your poisonous, brainwashing, sour, snake-oil, Kool Aid. I look forward to seeing the many smiling faces of the autonomous anonymous internet collective. Let us give them an 11th to remember.

  15. can these security camd be monitored by a outside source or are they controlled by some local rebt-A-cop?

dancing in front of those said cameras and enturbulating staff in the process doing so would be lulzy

Why the hell DM is dragging out of his happy valley bunker just to attend this spesific event, it myst be important so enturbulation is needed on may 11th, I'd love to see the video of security freaking out when Anon comes crashing the clam partay.

Comparing Google Streetview with the picture above, they definitely smacked a whole bunch of branches off of those trees.

Say, who owns those trees, and did they get a permit?

(Cosmic justice if one of those trees drops a widowmaker on the podium.)

well, you know how Scientologists say that their "space got so much larger?" or some moonbat shit like that?
Maybe that is what they are hoping for. And it looks like they will be postulating those 1000's.

Countdown to Portland: Scientology Planning a Rager Saturday | The Underground Bunker

Scientology leader David Miscavige began opening “Ideal Orgs” about a decade ago. In each case, local church members are pressured to raise huge amounts of money to replace perfectly adequate church facilities with much larger, more elaborate palaces that tend to stand empty. It’s a controversial plan that has exacerbated splits in the church membership — there’s lots of evidence that founder L. Ron Hubbard actually preferred more modest facilities and always stressed the need for new members, not new buildings.

But for whatever reason, Miscavige has banked the future of the church on his Ideal program, and seems to think tomorrow’s grand opening in Portland is the most important one yet. We’ve been marveling recently at the effort going into tomorrow’s big show, and we have some more updates for those thinking of stopping by for a gander.

    My lol bold from link:

The first thought I had about this big production is that it might be related to Scientology's practice of setting up the "Ideal Orgs" that former Village Voice editor Tony Ortega has written about:
As [Scientology leader David] Miscavige has pushed his followers to raise money in extreme quantities to buy up these large buildings and renovate them, there's been a real question about their purpose. Church membership itself hasn't been growing, and the Ideal Orgs are replacing smaller facilities that weren't out of space.
That info seems to match with Portland's previous, far more humble Scientology offices, which were always sparsely populated whenever I'd walk by. But back to Ortega: While he notes that openings of such buildings come only after "local Scientologists... are encouraged to mortgage their homes and max out their credit cards in donations so the church can buy a historic property in their area that needs renovation," Scientology's PR department focuses on the dramatic impact those buildings can have—particularly their grand openings, which "are attended by thousands of parishioners, guests and dignitaries from across the social spectrum."

Which leads to something else interesting, this time from Ortega's dedicated Scientology site: A recent story headlined "Scientology is Staking Everything On Portland Like It Actually Matters." That post takes a look at information gathered by former Scientology spokesman Mike Rinder, with particular interest paid to this Portland-centric flyer that calls Portland "The First Scientology City.
