They allow clips of violence, morbidity, porn, plus all the copyright tv shows and they try to tell us that is inappropriate? They must have a silon working for them or someone taking bribes. Youtube is often criticized for censorship and rightly so when they refuse to play fair. I've been trying for two weeks to get the shawn longsdale clips back up and they won't budge. They claim the tos takedown is not automated but I think they are full of shit, if is isn't a rogue operator removing those clips then its automation that is possibly broken/exploitable. Re: Original Anonorange Dogpile video taken down all I have to say is eva@eff.org edit, when contacting eva at the EFF, make sure to include copypasta of the reason for takedown, link to your vid, and if possible, the .flv of your vid. also, upload to socks without regular scientology tags, change video length by a few seconds to make their system not detect it, etc etc. I forget where one would have to complain about this, can someone post the right way as well as youtubes phone# that we used in the past to deal with this shit.
Re: Original Anonorange Dogpile video taken down AO filed that DMCA claim against ARCwins. I'd guess the other videos are being taken down using TOS claims because of violence and/or language. Wouldn't surprise me if the scilons are the ones flagging them, though. You guys know what to do - alter the video just a little bit so it doesn't appear to be the same file, and mirror the shit out of it.

Re: Original Anonorange Dogpile video taken down Add a title scene to the beginning or trim a second of video off or convert it from one format to another and then back again. Whatever you're capable of, just so youtube doesn't recognize it as exactly the same file as they've already pulled. Don't quote me on it, but I think there's evidence that a lot of their takedowns are automated based on the file itself, not by youtube staffers viewing the content. A different file might stay up longer until somebody also flags that one.

They claim they cannot do anything there and tell me to send more email complaints through youtube. How did people get through to them at this number? The guy on the phone knew about COS as well... I didn't mention it was stuff about scientology... He goes let me guess, your vids were against scientology? I had a feeling it was that... haha.

It took them a while to go after this one, though, and we had enough copies mirrored that we got a lot of views on it. I don't publicize my channel that much, but it still got 150 views from my copy alone. The solution is external mirroring where they can't touch it, like RuTube, then create a small video using Windows Movie Maker just showing the URL to the mirrored copy and uploading that to YouTube. How are they going to flag that?

Or would they be able to flag that as well? I'm not clear on what they're considering inappropriate content here, or if youtube just yanks everything flagged that way without reviewing the content.

What the hell. In the my videos section it simply says Rejected (content inappropriate) I go to account warnings and nothing! Accounts have no strikes against them.... Time to call yewtube again and launch harpoons.
