http://www.urbexforums.co.uk/showthread.php/960-Windmill-Hills-Care-Home-Gateshead-Report-29-07-08 was OK in 2008 but its had 3 years of neglect .
Door's boarded up and soil moved but the rest of the rubbish remain's It was'nt until I parked over the road that I noticed 2 doors open and 2 chav's one on a peddle bike hanging about he was trying the intercom on the door were the security guard was seen going in .
What a fucking clip this place is. Glad to hear the charvers are taking an interest in its downfall. Like mosquitos bothering a dying cow.
Bellabrusco. A vile cheap white wine that charvers drink. "Bella den" is a place where you gather to drink it. http://www.newcastlestuff.com/charver/masterclass.html
bella n. Bella Brusco, a cheap sparkling white wine that gets one peeved-up for a couple of quid a bottle. It’s the Charver Carva, perfect for that tab-lit chip supper and best served at bus-stop temperature. See also White Shite, Paggered and Monged-up.
If I woz a charver I wouldn't be happy of being robbed of my bella den by Scientologists. I'd become even more anti-social than on a normal day.
Maybe they had left some crates of Bellabrusco inside for safe keeping and were politely asking for them back. That building looks a good place to party in.
Its a teenage thing they all chip in there 50's get a adult (brain dead one preferably) to buy it for them .
If they got organised they could get their Bellabrusco for just over a pound a bottle. They should get one of their parents to do this. Strike a deal - if they do the ordering then they won't disorder the house. Then they could sell it on to their friends and make 10p a bottle on it which will soon add up if they are each drinking three of them a night. Beats staying in and doing poxy homework.
After going over those pics showing the condition of the building, I could use a drink myself. I really hate seeing old buildings purchased for some supposedly noble purpose left to rot like that. Part of me wonders if it's a deliberate strategy to get around the landmark issue, letting it deteriorate to the point their ordered to demolish it. The building they purchased in Boston comes to mind. Is there any way they can be forced to start making repairs, or at least forced out so someone who might actually do something constructive can get the building?? BigBeard
The local council would take out a compulsory purchase order if they felt the building was not being looked after. And if they did it is almost a given that the clams would lose out financially.
I was told by gateshead council's listed buildings department that there was no way they would get any grants or help with the redevelopment of the building and compulsory purchase order was out of the question probably due to gateshead council getting screwed when they stuck all there cash in icelandic banks .
If that's really you, bravo. I've seen them before and I couldn't entertain even putting it near my mouth. Wonder what Janice and Ray would make of your tasty balut?
Nonsense, a baby could eat one. A YouTube search on "Remy Eats" and "Remy Drinks" yields some interesting clips.
I am thinking along the lines of announcing a flash Bellabrusco rave party to be held at a suitable location in Gateshead. I hope Corby gets an invite. He is my hero.
" he's polishing off that drink I found in the street . . ." LOLOLOLOL they sound more mackem than geordie
A baby could eat one, but that's not the point. Yuk. Eggs with embryos in them. My Vietnamese teacher used to chortle over balut. She'd smack her lips and say, "Taste like chikken soup!" I prefer mine out of a pan, thankyouveddymuch. Eggs aren't supposed to have chunks in them.
A question for the localfags. If the building did deteriorate to such an extent it had to be demolished, would the cult be better off financially? What I mean is would it be left with a nice patch of prime land, ready for development into a nice block of flats or something, rather than a Victorian property which would need extensive renovation and is constrained by being a listed building?
This is still on the planning website http://planning.gateshead.gov.uk/pu...l=J57SUMHKP3000&searchtype=PROPERTY&module=P3 I think nothings a prime patch these days . But how would they explain turning there ideal org into housing to thousands of local members ? .
Is "NAB Properties" clam-owned or did the clams buy it off them? If they bought it with planning permission already granted then they would have paid over the odds for it if they had no intention of redeveloping it and the land. I assume the 27 apartments will be in the listed building itself. I'd be interested to see how they propose to split the building up into useful apartments each with enough light coming in. And what would they do with the conservatory front?
