This has been covered in many threads here in the past.. you do not need to a permit to protest anywhere in LA as long as you respect certain boundaries.. 1. No stepping on private property (the sidewalks surrounding cult-owned properties are public access, though cult guards will do their darndest to convince you otherwise). 2. No walking on sidewalks at a cult event if they have secured an approved street permit from the City temporarily closing down the sidewalk. A protester at the recent Shrine event almost ended up in the back of a squad car after challenging a cop on this.

I'd suggest just joining one of the already on-going LA pickets and don't sweat the small stuff, I'm pretty sure the regulars will be happy to fill ya in (no-no-no, not that way!). Re: Noob here, how do I obtain a permit for protesting in LA? Especially if you're a noob, you should protest with a group. The US Constitution gives us the right to free speech. Public sidewalks are a well-established place where you can practice that speech. But there are little nuances that will take a while to pick up, so it's best to go with others who have already been doing this for a while. You can find the area on this board for protest planning going on in your area, or just find LA anons on here.

Participate in a bunch of group protests, learn the game.(..and eat some delicious caek.) Numerous protesters have learned 'the rules' over the years. For some it involved be arrested, law suits, legal fees, being fairgamed, etc. Better to go in with experienced people.
