  1. A while back I started an alternative media website with some friends. This video primer is the first of what will be many videos on issues largely ignored or treated with kid gloves by the MSM. The quality is way better in full screen (high def).

Not sure if this is the right forum for this but wanted to share.

  2. Hey Rachel Summers not too bad at all! Good on ya.
Some critique: music occasionally overwhelms the voice, esp with LRon; because the vid isn't clearly a satire there are some images that could be considered misleading: results of physical violence (eg back with lash injuries), child labour that is clearly not scientology; factory worker abuse. Scientology is egregious enough all on its own; vid is a little over long.

But over all nice job...interesting, good pace, good (broad) coverage of subject matter.

  3. The physical violence clips are intended to be ironic (they come from Scientology's promo vids). Kinda like L. Ron calling people insane with the xenu animation. It sounds like you got that but if not, eh, I'll try harder next time. Other criticisms noted. Thanks.

I love your video and I was wondering if it would be okay to feature it on my blog.

Clearly a lot of work and thought went into this.

  7. Thanks! And sure, go for it. If anyone else wants to embed it on their blog or share it on Facebook et cetera, that is in fact very much appreciated.

    Thank you!

Well, to be honest, I despise the YT comments system more than most as I have another channel (unrelated to Scientology or Anonymous) with ~500k video views and my grievances were greatly aggravated by the ad nauseum volume of comments. That is, before I realized how much simpler life can be when you just turn them off. The main problems I have are

    1. The inane bickering between random idiots that inevitably drowns out the comparatively few intelligent posts, and
    2. The lack of a quote function, bb code or even the ability to post links, and
    3. The ridiculous amount of spam (which I guess explains why you can't post links in the first place) on any vid with more than a few thousand hits

    in roughly that order.

If you have something to say directly to the video maker, you can always leave comments here or on the thread in the vid description. Having said that, if there is some other good reason to turn comments on, I'm all ears. Party hard.

Delete the YouTube comments from idiots. It's cathartic.

It's not censorship, it's common sense.

Not bad, I don't think it will really get a bunch of people into the fold of protesting the church, but you did pretty well anyways. I would actually consider changing the title from introduction to somethign that isn't implying a step by step pattern, just because it could be misleading. There are other videos like:

which are lulzy, get the facts and are succinct and accurate, It's the basics of Scientology in 100 secoinds. Your vid just doesn't really introduce people to it, it's more of a lulzy vid that appeals more to anons that are in and know the game already.

tl;dr I like cause i get it, calling it an "intro" video seems misleading for people that want to learn to play the game.

All your points are valid, but I think the following counterpoints outweigh your concerns

    1. Videos with lots of comments are more likely to be recommended by YT, leading to more views, leading to more comments, leading to more views ....
    2. Makes it look like you don't want to allow people to publicly disagree with or criticize the video, the way Scientology inc. does.
    3. Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. Inane comments don't diminish the good ones, let the readers evaluate the wheat from the chaff.
    4. Makes it look like you are trying to control opinion, rather than be part of the open public discussion about the Scientology corporation.
    5. People who do want to comment will feel a bit turned off.
    6. see #1

Your channel, your rules of course, but I hope you'll consider opening comments, if only so that I can praise you there.
  11. Points taken. Comments enabled for now.

    Party hard!
