    Re: Needed whyweprotest translations.

    Done. Um, the only thing we need is spanish websites/links.. which I don't know any. D:

    Edit: Except those I have on the PRanons page.. I'll go look for them.

    These are the links:

    ¿Quién es Xenu?

    Lo Que Los Cristianos Necesitan Saber Sobre Cienciología
    por Margery Wakefield (1991)

    Cienciología: Destructores de Almas por Anti Virus

    La Iglesia del Contrato Letal

    Como Hablarle a un Miembro de Cienciología

    LOS PRECIOS DE CIENCIOLOGIA

    Política De Fair Game

    Actually.. I just noticed, they are all the same website, just different sections. D;

    The night before 3/15 I have done some major updates of the German translation of the "why we protest" text. Mostly it changing things that sound strange, some are slight inaccuracies, others are sentences that are hard to understand really. I'm looking for some German anon to look over the changes (I posted them all in the thread from posting #12 on) so that you can update them.

    Some things that you can update right now:

    *How Can I Help
    **Wie kann ich helfen
    --> here you NEED a question mark, looks quite odd to me without it... (actually it looks also strange to me in English but it's not my mother tongue)

    *Please select a question from either section to the left or right.
    **Wählen sie bitte eine Frage aus dem linken oder rechten Abschnitt aus.
    --> Wähle bitte eine Frage aus dem linken oder rechten Abschnitt aus.
    --> In German "you" can be "Sie" or "Du" (in in imparative like the above "Du" will not left out). "Sie" is more formal and distant. We referred to the reader as "Du" always so we need to stick to it here.

    *Links

    --> stays the same

    I have translated the link titles and descriptions (all but Tory's). I have posted the translation to the German thread, you may wait until someone confirms them or update it now and change it if there will be modifications (I could PM you).

    Suggestion re Ex Scientology Kids: Even though the title already says a lot, I think we should add a sentence of explanation. I don't know how the ladies defined the purpose of the site. I wrote in German "The website is especially addressed to young scientology dropouts. (while in German Aussteiger is used which is a neutral expression). I'm still not sure if this is the main purpose, I need to think of it.

    I would recommend to state if a website is in English. I can imagine people who don't now a lot of English getting frustrated clicking through lots of websites that are English only until finally getting to some German, French etc. website.

    * So, I suggest that the German links are listed first. Although no German site might be as good as xenu.net the German sites that exist might have a greater appeal simply because they are written in German (and thus easy to understand). Also, we have one excellent site by a German lawyer that is very extensive. I think in most languages it's more reasonable to list the English links at the end, exception being countries where English is very widespread, I guess (such as the Scandinavia and the Netherlands). This should be decided by the correspondend translators.

    * Minor mistake in the English text: "Mark Bunker, an Emmy award winner, shows videos about Scientology."

    * as to the English description of Tory's page: You have used the introductory words of her website, which as a dedication does not really tell a lot about the actual content of the site. Tory herself describes it as "My writings about Scientology from ARS". This should be extended somewhat, maybe by saying what the articles are about...
