Needed: LGBT fliers and posters Basically I'm looking for some flier, pamphlet, basically something I can hand out to people that at least mentions somewhere how the Co$ feels about homosexuality. I've been looking all over, and I really want something for an event I will be attending later this evening that supports the LGBT community. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

I know of no such admonition, considering that "Institutionalization" was a term for "permanent mental ward" back then- and we all know what LRH thought of psychs... PLZ to stick with documented fact- and avoid hyperbole.

re: Needed: LGBT fliers and posters we should avoid using this one, the largest text are the words from scientology bashing homosexuality, people don't look past the largest words so they'll think we're bashing homosexuality even if a closer look shows that we're actually supportive. People will have a hard time shaking this first impression and end up walking away confused. It happened to us in Philly on at a 4/4 miniraid where the header of one of our flyers was "Scientology", even though the subheader said it was a dangerous cult people didn't read that far down before they started forming opinions and they thought that we were with scientology.
re: Needed: LGBT fliers and posters Same thing happened with us. People were reluctant to come up, but curiosity got the better of them and most reacted with, "oh! I thought you guys were for Scientology! Yeah, fuck 'em." Though I don't agree with you entirely, I like that one just fine. Though your prediction will most definitely prove true with some people.

An LGBT group warning people about Scientology has started up on Facebook: Login | Facebook And a basic blog is connected: Scientology and Homosexuality There are a bunch of people in Sydney who want to do flier raids, but don't have graphic design skills and called out to Anons for help. So, if you're motivated to help out, fliers educating people about Hubbard's views would be most welcome. The second flier above looks strong, but I take note of the comment about people thinking it is gay-bashing if they don't stop to read it. Still, the image could be useful on the website. Obviously, they're lacking in that department at this stage. All contributions welcome.

Can I get a confirmation that there's still short-term demand for this project, i.e. there's time for them to print and prepare them that they'd actually get used? If so, I might see what I can do, although I'm not very good at designing fliers. I was thinking of some sort of 3-panel design that folds into a square for easy handling. Panel 1: Some eye-catching graphic / quote (if I can think of one), with main theme, e.g. "What does Scientology really think about homosexuality?" Panels 2-3: Fleshing out main points. Quotes are paraphrased here so you know what I'm talking about, but obv. referenced correctly for the real version: - Compare/contrast Scientology's public relations - The Dianetics quote: "The sexual deviant, blah blah, including homosexuality, is actually quite ill physically..." - Staff contract listing homosexual experiences as a possible strike that would prevent someone from being eligible to join staff. Also wonderfully lists homosexual experiences right after being put in jail, committing a crime, or being charged with a felony. - People like OT8Michael who found Scn would try to "fix" their homosexuality - The Haggis/Beghe stuff - Final link to some site for more info (whyweprotest.net? It's probably going to be really far from ideal, and I'm bad at this sort of thing, but I'll see if I can get anywhere with it in the next few hours. No promises... :\ Does anyone know if Aussies use the term "LGBT" rather than "GLBT"? Just want to make it sound as natural as possible. Here in the U.S., they tend to use the latter, but I'm under the impression that in Aus-land it's the former... right?

They're designed to be folded twice, into an S-shape, and then cut along the horizontal cutting line.
