I'm sorry for breaking topic a bit, but why was she targeted to begin with? What was she doing that was so heinous? Or was she simply made an example of? I'm a bit out of the loop.

My understanding is that she and her music teacher got caught in traffic because of the sheer numbers of protesters in the streets, parked the car and began walking on foot to their destination when she was shot.
