Based on information gathered on the above thread, as well as the way this form is set up:http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f13909.pdf

I believe that we have enough information on the WWP to establish, without ANY doubt, that narconon is a fraudulent organization that is abusing its tax exempt status. To give an idea as to why i have come to these conclusions, here are a few examples from the IRS form above:

Directors/officers/persons are using income/assets for personal gain*
Organization is engaged in commercial, for-profit business activities*
Income/assets are being used to support illegal or terrorist activities*
Organization is involved in a political campaign*
Organization is engaged in excessive lobbying activities*
Organization refused to disclose or provide a copy of Form 990*
Organization failed to report employment, income, or excise tax liability properly*
Organization failed to file required federal tax returns and forms*
Organization engaged in deceptive or improper fundraising practices*
Based on what we have here, accounts from narconon "alumni", as well as various articles about narconon, all fo the above issues have been seen inside of the organization.
The goal of the intel dump is to establish a legal paper trail proving as many of the infractions as possible. This will bring about a legal investigation into narconon as well as the directors, so even if narconon does not get shut down, the directors will face legal consequences.
The second goal of the intel dump is to establish a list of narconon related deaths and incidents of alumni relapsing. Narconon claims a 76% success rate, so any relapse that occurs after an "alumni" as completed the program disproves this. I am following some very nice leads to establishing a fatality list, thank you to those i talked to, i will hopefully have one up before Friday.
This thread is mostly a "safe" place for me to dump information i find, that i think would be useful to others, and would benefit from community involvement. Its not calling out or planning an op yet, but its a means to gather enough evidence so that if an op were to occur, it would be quick and have severe legal repercussions against all parties committing wrong doing. I want this thread to have useful information, so if a lawyer or federal agent were to stumble upon it, they would be able to get useful evidence from it.
I have placed it in the think tank because i feel its the most appropriate place for it. Mods, please feel free to move if needed.

The above thread contains highly useful information:
It is about a cease and desist order issued from Scientology's law firm, claiming that a news article that critical of narcnon was "liable". Article had statments from family members of a deceased narconon alumni, the individual in question died 18 months after being released. The fact that such criticism is facing heavy handed legal action is astounding.

This cease and desist order is evidence of narconon's connection to Scientology. Not only is the letter in question from Scientology paid lawyers, it also mentions Scientiolgy and Narconon in the same sentences.

Thread also contains posts from other users that contain official Church of Scientology organizational charts, listing narcarnon as part of the Scientology "family".

Thread also contains some accounts from former narconon patients. These accounts are not positive.

Thread contains information from Canadian court system, which may not be useful in the U.S.

Information from above thread will be added to this thread in the near future. This post is place holder to remind me to to this when i have the time.

Post number 2 is a template for how posts on this thread should look. The goal is to make this a depository of information for use in legal research into wrongdoing committed by narcarnon.

Before information is to be removed from ANY thread and placed here, please make a post such as number 2 explaining which thread was referenced, and why the documents or "DOX" were moved here. Please add a summary of the thread, so that way people doing research will have an Idea as to what they should be looking for.

when posting information or narconon opinions on this thread, please post a source, or reference a post from WWP.

Mods, Please move any derails that occur to their own thread. IF derails do occur, I and other interested parties will wish to see them, these derails may be used as evidence of OSA interference and MAY count as a criminal infringement on our freedom of speech as well as our freedom of religion.

Above thread contains information about narconon Australia Warburton facility. Facility requested rezoning permit.
    http://www.yarraranges.vic.gov.au/f...0_Council_Meeting_Agenda_with_Attachments.pdf
above link is from the local city council. The above link goes to PDF of the city council meeting. On page 2, Narconon is listed as getting assitance from ABLE,a known Scientology based organization.

Thread contains disturbing information that may be indicative of fraud committed by narconon overseas. Narconon spokesperson was one Dr Nerida James.

    Dr Nerida James
    http://www.cambridgewhoswho.com/Members/INTL/Nerida-James-1630746.html
(note, biography was missing from link)
    http://www.truthaboutscientology.com/stats/by-name/n/nerida-james.html

Individual above has a strong connection to Scientology, as well as questionable qualifications to be doing any sort of work on narcotics rehab.

The connection to Scientology along with the multiple other connections to Scientology already noted in this incident indicate a conflict of interest due to the nature of Scientology selling course materials, and the proposed rezoning for "educational" from "commercial". This indicates that the rehab may have attempted to shift focus from rehabilitation to Scientology based course work. This indicates fraudulent business practices, because patients would attend narconon FOR rehabilitation, not course work. It also hints at the narconon procedures not being effective, or even the main focus of the facility.

This particular narconon facility claimed 1-3 incidents involving the police. Below is a FOI document that proves otherwise.

    http://www.saynonarcononwarburton.o...FOI_PDF_-_Narconon_Police_Events_-_Precis.pdf

These police incidents are disturbing. At the least they indicate that this facility is unable to handle severe narcotics addiction. Furthermore, based on the severity of the incidents, along with the number of patients this facility holds, it becomes highly doubtful that this facility was fulfilling its 76% success rate as claimed.

By itself, this narconon facility is disturbing. However, when compared with other incidents from narconon facilities around the world, this confirms already alleged patterns of fraud and abuse.

Actually those rights only protect you from the US government, not from other people. Digression is not a criminal offence.

But if you have derail problems in this thread then hit the 'report' button and mods will be on the case.

Key word is may. If these posts were made as part of a coordinated religious operation, then they may count as lobbying. At the worst, it would be very bad PR.

However, there are several other reasons too.

One reason is to analyze the writing style, how the arguments are worded, and to see if they mention any names specifically (Karen and Marty's come up all the time in derails, and for no logical reason). This is to establish that they are receiving orders or following a template. Another is to establish dates when they were posted. Are all these posts happening on Thursdays?

Once a clear pattern of operation is identified in regards with the OSA, proper legal action and fines may be assessed.

But yes, i will report the posts as much as i can. But do not delete them. I would like to see a thread of suspected OSA posts. This would make it easier for us, as well as various law enforcement agencies AND lawyers to analyze.

    https://whyweprotest.net/community/...oncerned-about-overexposure-to-niacin.116789/

The above thread has been added here due to the nature of narconon's detox procedure. Narconon claims that ALL narcotics linger in fat cells, and can be removed via sweating out and taking large concentrations of Niacin*

    *need source

The above link indicates a danger involved with large doses of niacin. This indicates that there is no science behind narconon, and that the whole organization is religious based. Furthermore, it indicates that the treatment is dangerous, and that this may be part of the fatalities associated with narconon.

There are no circumstances in which digression can be a criminal offence.

I don't believe that any law enforcement agencies or lawyers are going to be interested in derailed forum threads.

Keep gathering the Narconon info though, it's basically a good plan, and worth doing.

    Thanks.

This is quite a useful indicator to look out for. here is something very disturbing:

"The highlights of her career include helping save the lives of her patients and her students on the Narconon Program and running two busy natural medicine clinics which help 200 to 300 patients each week. She is establishing a 40-bed facility (soon to become an 80 bed facility) to help young people get off drugs naturally. Another highlight was winning the right to legally be called a doctor of naturopathy. Dr. James won a case against Crown prosecutors allowing her the right to use the title doctor of naturopathy."

This would be misleading to people looking for medical based treatment. They would have to do research to uncover this, if the addict was in a very serious condition, then they would not have the time to do proper research before committing the patient to narconon.

This trend also shows up in narconon 990s in US based narconons. I have seen resident doctors listed on the 990s as DO, instead of MD. The difference being that a DO practices holistic medicine.

Assessment so far. Based on FOI information obtained about the Australia narconon and the British narconons, we have a pattern. That pattern is based on misrepresentation of the service and the use of a dangerous unproven treatment procedure.

I have downloaded the 990's from the discussion thread:everything cos charges money for, and have begun looking at them. Night owl has done some great work providing screen shots.

I am looking at the following things:
Medical "professionals" hired or working at the narconons
    outside contractors
    loans made to senior members
money senior members got paid outside of narconon

These 990s appear to be from 2011

On a different note, What is the best way to list narconon related deaths? Should it be a list of names, or just a general number? I am horrified by how big the death toll is starting to look. We are talking 40 years of quackery here.

above link came from this thread:
    https://whyweprotest.net/community/...ision-date-dec-10th-2013.115589/#post-2432469

this is a continuation of the events from warburton Australia. Excerpt from link:
    Councillors also found that:
    1. Narconon are not running an education program – they are running an unaccredited drug and alcohol rehab centre.
    2. They do not fall under the jurisdiction of the health department or work, health & safety – they are not certified or regulated in any way.
    3. If someone wants to leave - or is forced to leave - Narconon ask that a family member come and collect that person. If there is no family member to collect, a staff member will escort the individual to the bus stop and put them on a bus - or as stated last night - give them a myki card and put them on a train in Lilydale.
    4. When pressed 3 times by a councillor – the applicant – after trying to intimate they were somehow under the jurisdiction of the health department – had to admit ‘they had no certificate on the wall.’
    5. They have no formal training for staff to handle escalations or acts of violence – beyond – an internal staff training program.
    6. Councillors and Police found that community safety must come first.
    7. Councillors and Police were clear that the isolation of the current facility is an asset. Police remarked that the 3km driveway plus the 10km walk required to get into Warburton – from East Warburton – is a valuable buffer that would let an agitated person cool their heels. That buffer would be removed if Narconon were installed 750 m from the main street / township of Warburton
    8. Councillors were clear however in their offer to help Narconon find another suitable, isolated location OR even stay at East Warburton. Whether Narconon will accept this offer remains to be seen.
    9. However the local councillor for Warburton suggested there is now not just concerns about the applicants moving to Green Gables in residential Warburton – but for the current operation in East Warburton.
    10. Link to current online story in Upper Yarra Mail - 'More light on drug rehab centre'
    11. Link to the agenda for March 11 which also contains 2nd town planners recommendation to refuse - a link to the relevant page on the Yarra Ranges Council website
There are multiple incidents of #3 occurring inside the states. While such behavior may not be illegal, it is highly unethical and unprofessional.*

*need to locate and post documented incidents.

#5 is also a very serious concern. If the stateside narconons are handled in the same way as this particular location was, then ALL the narconons are potentially dangerous.

Lately there have been a lot of recent threads about narconon overseas, as well as some nice FOI information from overseas. My next question: Are there any older threads that you guys know about here that would have some useful information? There is a lot to go thru, so any incidents that occurred in the US that you remember, or that sticks out would be appreciated. I would like to look over a state side incident to see if there are any similarities to what occurred in Australia. While all the Australia information is still fresh.
  20. tinfoilhatter Member

I had an epiphany last night when i was trying to sleep. Narconon international is based in America, and its tax exempt purpose for existing is to oversee the over seas narconon operations. These incidents in England and Australia are evidence that there is NO OVERSIGHT within the organization, something that they are responsible for providing.

this also raises concerns that Narconon international is not spending its money properly. One of the concerns raised by Local government officials in the warburton incident was that the narconon staff were not properly trained in handling violence. Yet the narconon facility was part of narconon international. It IS narconon international's legal and financial responsibility to ensure that this facility's staff IS properly trained.

The main point is this: Just because an incident happens overseas does not mean it is outside the jurisdiction of the IRS. Because these are all parts of Narconon international, and because they are supposed to be funded by narconon international, ANY wrong doing or finical abuse by an overseas narconon can result in punishment and investigation by the IRS. At the very least, this can turn Narconon from a source of revenue for Scientology into a legal/financial burden.

I have been busy lately, so i have not had the time to dedicate to this "hobby" of mine. However, after thinking about the Australia incident, I have begun to wonder at how many incidents the police were involved in at the American based narconons. Is there a way to find out with out doing an FOI request? I still want to remain anonymous, because fair game seems to be a common business practice with Scientology.

Are those here by any chance? It is important that we establish a depository for this information. One goal is for WWP to show up when people do research on narconon, so that if someone is looking into this rehab, they can hopefully stumble upon this and say "NO WAY" and send their loved ones to a real rehab. Also, on some of the older posts in older threads, the articles they are linked to are now gone.

    http://www.mcalesternews.com/local/x1186922349/Files-to-be-handed-over-in-Narconon-civil-lawsuit

Above article details on going lawsuit for Narconon arrowhead in Oklahoma. This facility had 4 deaths within a 9 month period. Article details personnel records of employees are to be handed over to the court for use in lawsuit against the facility.

The lawsuit in the article alleges that patient was given drugs by narconon staff, patient died two days after being transferred to this narconon facility.

Scientology is infamous for keeping records on its "parishioners". Because of this, I am not sure if the records being handed over are simply employee employment records, or more detailed records that Scientology keeps on its members. This confusion is due to the close relationship between narconon and Scientology, Scientology uses narconon as a means to sell course materials and for recruiting, and ALL senior narconon staff are listed as having done various level completions within Scientology. Furthermore, Scientology has an infamous history of tampering with evidence.

This type of meticulous personnel record keeping is a concern. Are they doing the same type of record keeping on patients? Are they sharing these records with Church of Scientology international? Documents found on WWP show a dangerous connection between narconon and Scientology. Narconon operates based on regulations written by Scientology. This raises some serious patient privacy issues.

Does anyone here know of ANY incidents of narconon sharing information about a patient with out the patients knowledge or consent? Do any of the EXCS know of any patient records shared between Narconon and Scientology?

Hmm, post 35 is interesting and needs to be investigated.

part Narconon is classified as "drug prevention education" as its reason to be a non-profit. If we can prove that they are failing at this, then we can file a complaint against them.
