So I monitored this thread daily for about a week and no one seemed to latch on. I threw my energy in another direction and this took off like mad when I wasn't looking! I have to play catch-up! You guys rock!

    First off...
I refer you back to this...
No jedi mind tricks, please. ^.^

Kids are the opposite of our target audience.

Allow me to, once again, refer to something that has already been said...
    ...and also...
    Moving on...
I don't believe it is essential for every version to look exactly alike. In fact, I've designed the outline to be modified regionally. However, exchanging PDFs is a great way to share a more detailed template. I know this can be done with MediaFire.com or a similar file-hosting service.

That has been my challenge as well. Every time I open my mouth, someone jumps in with a wealth of background that I knew nothing about. The biggest challenge has been finding substantiated accounts for sections 2-4 that correlate to our upcoming events. We have so little need to tell each other why these protests matter, that they often are not accompanied with a specific complaint, but more often a generalized "we all know this has been happening a lot" type statement.

I'm homeless and jobless so I feel ya on that. I can only contribute intellectually. I hope to complete as much of the design process as possible, so that the less-journalistically-inclined Anons can simply pluck it from the web and put it on the streets.

Here is my minor edit to the most recent adaptation:

We greet you in the context of a world where our ability to discern truth from fiction is being eroded by the tremendous power of corporations and governments over information.

    Hello.

    We are ANONYMOUS... etc

I never said "kids were a target audience"
but it certainly would not hurt to educate with something a little fun for kids.
  5. Legionarian Member

To me, that sounds like a separate project. Kids can't really fully understand or do much about the goals of ANONYMOUS anyway.

    Just entertain them, yeehz...
They're kids damnit, keep them that way.

early education may prevent them for falling for the phony drug talks at school put on by Narconon or the community Drug Free Marshalls program BS.
There is also the fact that COS has given kids stress tests before and they also show up at community fairs and such with drug awareness stuff.
I am talking about making them aware of the front group names and that the COS is not what it appears.
    geez!

Are you TRYING not to understand the target audience? *facepalm*

Wait, we are targeting people again?
I thought we stopped doing that after last time...
  10. RightOn Member

I was trying to give some suggestions
    never mind then

    I sense a certain miscommunication...

Hear hear! You have to speak to people in their own language. It is important (and will become increasingly CRITICAL as time goes by) to generate sympathy, empathy and understaning about Anonymous amongst wider and wider swaths of the population. Blowing off that task is not only a tactical blunder, it shows that Anonymous doesn't respect that demographic, nor care.

Yes, "Anonymous isn't your friend." That's true. But we're human. We bleed when tortured like everyone else. Because if we don't "care" and make some overture to the kinds of people Legionarian is mentioning here (in their language - respecting their ways of thinking and processing information), then we only have ourselves to blame if, when the shit hits the fan, we find ourselves being fingered and left for dead and generally uncared for by the people we didn't reach out to in the first place.

    My two buck's worth.

Anonymous does not care, Anonymous is not your friend. That doesn't mean that individual anons can't do those things. None of us are as cruel as all of us doesn't just mean that Anonymous is an asshole, it also means that anons can be human when they're not wearing the elephant skull, as it were.

Anyone who gets that reference gets free hugs for life.

    Been thinking lately...
One time Free Anon Magazine vs Flyers inside Free Newspapers

Seriously, we need Anonymous the sugar cereal, and Anonymous toilet paper.

  18. I like the tri-fold idea that was stated above. Tri-folds are technically one-sheets, and they look more professional. Also, on the black and white vs. color issue, I'd say go color. Recipients could print black and white from the CMYK or RGB .pdf. As long as you mind the contrast in the colors.

Also, I'd help on this. I own the InDesign as well.

    black and white, we're poor.
