Translation of a Spanish opinion piece posted on January 7, 2013 on the website of the Mexico City daily newspaper Excelsior:

I was starting to worry since we hadn't heard anything in quite a while. Either Mexico has effective anons, or the Secretariat of the Interior has a bit of google-fu (or both).

Anyway: Congratulations on a wise decision Mexico!

Harpoons were fired from USA Anons to Catholic clergy in Mexico, who in turn bombarded the Secretariat with letters and phone calls expressing their concerns. Richochet poonage FTW.

Wow. I am surprised. It sounded like Scientology had this one in their pocket.
  15. I'm happy this happened and I apologize for using my grandfather's beloved creation Cri Cri to promote Scientology:

Despite this, it would not surprise me if the cult ignored this directive and just continues telling small fry local pols that they are officially a religion in Mexico.

They will, i mean that the decision (declaration?) of the Directorate of Religious Associations of the Secretariat of the Interior won't have a real impact on the majort part of the population in Mexico. And as always the cult will try to get through these weaknesses

The PRI is just about as legitimate of a government as scientology is a church but yeah, FUCK YEAH.
