Stay with this forum, your voice is one that needs to be heard by the multitude of silent victims who are still suffering as you are.
If things get tough unburden yourself here and do it anonymously if you feel better.
Keep talking, voicing your thoughts and let it all pour out.

That's the danger of it all. Letting emotions cloud judgement. How can a jury system work in a society of hyper polarized emotional people? How does someone approach such a topic without emotions?

I know, how dare people have strong emotions about rape? The nerve of us. We should all be as emotionless as Vulcans. Especially women, you know how shrill they can get when they get worked up about something. /sarcasm

I think when he/she asks the question: How does someone approach such a topic without emotions? He was trying to make a point. The problem comes down understanding the evidence clearly, and without bias. Look at all the innocent people that were sent to prison, and all the guilty that have walked free. If you want to fix society, you have to think clearly, and be objective. that's easier said then done. Which is why we are living in a broken society at the moment.

It's perfectly natural to be angry and to get emotional about it, my point was that we should still deal with such things in a rational manner as much as possible.

Well of course. But aside from the few OMGKILLHIM Internet posters, most anti-rape activists have been pretty rational and reasonable. I think you're tilting at windmills here.

A little emotion can translate into a decent amount of motivation

Yea that first reply came off as totally cool headed and reasonable.

I think that rape is probably one of the biggest problems and that those who have been raped have been courageous since the person who raped them took the pride and virginity away from them which makes feel like they're not worth it any more. These things cant be hidden any more and we have to find a solution to end all rape since its stopping peace through out the world. Many of us have been or seen people being raped which can be horrible and can lead to many problems like stress for example.
For those of you who have been raped out there, don't stop fighting, whatever you do. Just remember turn over and start a new leaf and you have reached the top of the summit and you rule the mountain. The mountain does not rule you.

I would say if you wanted to get men to stand up against rape it would call for the right kind of marketing. you appeal to the side of it could be your mother, sister, aunt, grandma, or even daughter if you wait to stand up until it is your family it is to late. we as a society need to show rapists they are not wanted and that we will assimilate them. if everybody worked together regardless of gender, race, or anything else a lot can get done but the fact is most men are afraid to talk about it because they won't be taken seriously and women will stand up but its against men, instead of rape in general. men are raped to they just don't come out and say it because they are a MAN!!! i am also a man but i have been raped it was when i was a kid but even when i have told someone i always get a man can't get raped you know you liked it.

my only question is why is there a stigma that men can't be against rape and when we stand we are criticized? is there a good answer to that or is basically the ignorant society we live in
