All those years of regging up the 'IAS Bridge' and theres only a few hundred who got the lifetime membership and above? And in that most just held out with the plain lifetime membership, only 84 have donated beyond $10,000, and only 20 beyond $100,000. The biggest donors are the Frank family, and they have only donated a half million - a pale comparison to the donors in the USA (just look how far the statuses go below!) and local Ideal Org donos. Perhaps the Aussies really are more resistant to the off-source IAS crap then their US counterparts? And in case you have forgotten the status levels... From a Pooks post on WWP the status donotions are believed to be: Even that list is out of date, the images I posted above go way further, what are the donation rates for; Platinum Laureate Diamond Laureate Patron Excalibur Platinum Excalibur Diamond Excalibur Patron Maximus I shudder to think at the absurd amount of monies needed for Patron Maximum, does anyone know? (I would guess $50 Million)
i would go higher and say probably 100million, but wtf :/ probably more they double at almost every increment. P.Laur 20m, diamondLaur:40m PatE:80m ... you catch my drift :3
I love more than anything that just reading this should be incongrous to even the most turtled Sci. For example... all of these levels have a quote by LRH.... but when you read the quote.. It has nothing to do with The levels of Honor that are displayed. For example, if you were to do something similar for something like... Cub Scout ranks... you would have a quote or description about each specific rank, why it was chosen, where that places you in the hierarchy etc. The quotes from LRH are Generic, have nothing to do with the honors, and they aren't even words of thanks for donating money. Oh wait, what did LRH say about donating and solving money problems without applying Scientology?
Well let's continue the trend: (seems to be, 2 levels of doubling... then a level of 2.5 then start over) Patron: $50,000 (x2=) Patron with Honors: $100,000(x2.5)= Patron Meritorious: $250,000(x2)= Silver Meritorious: $500,000 (x2)= Gold Meritorious: $1,000,000(x2.5)= Platinum Meritorious: $2,500,000(x2)= Diamond Meritorious: $5,000,000(x2)= Patron Laureate: $10,000,000(x2.5)= Platinum Laureate $25,000,000(x2)= Diamond Laureate $50,000,000(x2)= Patron Excalibur $100,000,000(x2.5)= Platinum Excalibur $250,000,000(x2)= Diamond Excalibur $500,000,000(x2)= Patron Maximus $1,000,000,000 Just guessing... but seeing as the gift for donating $1 billion is a solid gold pin with Diamonds and Emeralds encrusted... it doesn't seem too far fetched. (not including your fancy trophy etc.
Just a reminder, all my italics are guessing, IF the trend continues I'm guessing for Platinum Laureate and beyond
I doubt the trend continues to double after Patron Laureate, its just too much money, even for the IAS. Remember these status levels only come out for when people attain them (I think so?), and there is surely no way one person/family is donating more then $100 million. Even $50 million seems like an absurdly large amount for one group to donate, but who knows... Apparently you can ring up certain IAS/SCN offices to be told what what the donation level is, if anyone wants to investigate. Edit: Its in one of my OP pics, the Continental Membership Office or the IAS Administrations.
Not only that, but look at the quote for Patron Laureate: "A being is only as valuable as he can serve others." I'm sure it's supposed to be a positive quote, but I found it kind of dehumanizing on some level. Cuz rather than human life having inherent worth, it apparently has some sort of sliding-scale value based on how useful it is to others. How is a baby supposed to "serve others"? What about the severely mentally impaired? I dunno, maybe it's just me, but it seems so typical of L. Ron's what-have-you-done-for-me-lately attitudes. You know, all that shit about how billion-year Sea Org mindslaves are the best of the best, while homeless people are worthless degraded beings who ruin the environment.
That quote caught my eye too. I would think that hubbard figured he'd be the one being served the most. It's the problem of the 'humanitarian' they need someone less than them in order to feel superior
Don't mention Scientology around Kate Ceberano | News.com.au The Sunday Telegraph - July 29, 2012 She's one of Australia's most high-profile Scientologists, but when it comes to discussing her religion, it's a touchy subject for Kate Ceberano. While giving the media a sneak peek of her role in the musical South Pacific, which premieres in Sydney next month, Insider asked Ceberano about the recent scandal to engulf Scientology. The religion has come under fire in recent weeks in the wake of Tom Cruise's split from wife Katie Holmes. Like Cruise, Ceberano is a devoted Scientologist, which some have claimed is a sect. "That's inappropriate," Ceberano said before cutting the conversation dead. Up until the mention of the dreaded "S" word, she had been more than happy to chat. With a frosty smile she walked away, making it clear her faith was a no-go zone. In past interviews, Ceberano has labelled her beliefs as not much different to attending a mainstream church. It has been claimed the controversial faith is one of the reasons Holmes, 33, filed for divorce from Cruise last month. Reports suggested Holmes did not want daughter Suri, 6, caught up in Scientology's education programs. From www.news.com.au/national/kate-makes-a-frosty-exit/story-fndo4bst-1226437532221
That is one girl I have long loved to hate. Smug, arrogant, superior scilons like her and Jenna Elfman seriously are the most annoying of a bad bunch. Tom Cruise isn't even as convinced about it all as these two dyed in the wool culties. Rant over.
Not much it seems. Or at least not much spoken of publicly, I should say. Sitting around waiting for the ACNC to do its job.
Very quiet. Does Melbanon even exist anymore? I've searched for Australian stuff here and there really isn't much to read, and certainly not much lately. I think maybe the Xenophon thing was a disappointment to a lot of people. I still have faith in the taskforce having the same ultimate effect, but it's only new so it'll take time. As for Eastgate, yeah WTF? I'd like to think she's turned witness for something bigger but I doubt it.
What "Xenophon thing"? Last I knew was that he got the Chaddities Committee/Commission thing going; wasn't that what we were all shooting for down there?
My understanding was he wanted a parliamentary inquiry into Co$, because they are a pack of criminals. PM Rudd said he shared concerns but the opposition didn't see it the same way. (Rathbun and Rinder reportedly meddled with that, but I don't know enough to comment). Ultimately, the proposal didn't get enough votes. The consolation prize was the ACNC but that was planned anyway, I think. The ACNC is broader; it applies to all charities and NFPs. It's actually a good way to go, because then Co$ can't complain about being targeted and victimised and all their usual crap that scares people off from bringing them to justice. The legitimate NFPs have nothing to worry about. Co$, on the other hand, are fucked. Here's hoping it will put an end to their business rort in Oz - then they can get back to focusing on their beliefs, which is what they should be doing anyway. I don't know what is happening in Oz as far as criminal investigations go. I thought police were investigating allegations made by former members, but I don't know what has happened since. I've heard a whisper but I don't have enough details to discuss it. Even if I did, I wouldn't go posting them here and endangering the investigation. http://acnctaskforce.treasury.gov.au/content/content.aspx?doc=home.htm

I'm curious how many of these names might be duplicated on other IAS donor lists as well. A few of the US lists for different orgs had the same names more than once - perhaps to give the appearance that more people locally had donated to get others to do likewise - or are they allowed to count the same name/same donation several times if the person did services at more than one org?
Does anyone know what "Honor Status" Bob & Trisha Duggan are at now? Last I heard it was either Platinum or Diamond Excalibur in 2010. Does Diamond Excalibur = 35,000,000 in donation to I.A.S.?
Not sure about Melbanon, but Sydney has not protested in a while. I would have liked to have more protests with the exes. They were really good. Liz and James Anderson were incredibly effective. As to the legals. Yeah Eastgate getting off on a technicality was a blow. What injustice. As to the charities commission, it will eventually go through, but legislation takes time.
