A big annual Psychiatry convention is gearing up for San Francisco, CA on May 16-21st (Saturday-Thursday), and Scientology plans to be there en masse with a mob of (gigglesnort) 2,000 protesters, as well as set up their lameass CCHR "Industry of Death" exhibit right next door.



Note: This flyer is to advertise the PROTEST MEETING on April 4th. It is NOT the actual date of the protest. The purpose of linking the image here to is show their goal of having 2,000 Scilons in attendance.

This is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together and raid the silliness out of their "protest". Our goal is to criticize Scientology's connection to CCHR and their bias bigotry against the psychiatry profession, as well as just to plain ol' enturbulate the hell out of them. Their exact plans for the protests are unclear, but we know that they are going to make a presence for themselves there. And once there's a counter-protest involved? Media coverage.

So, the only details we know about so far is the set dates for the convention and that Scientology plans to be there. So let's start planning us to be there too.

Oh, ghod! "Psych Busters," how lame. You know, these CCHR faggots were scheduled to bring their road show to San Diego last year during a mental health convention they'd picketed in the past. No show. Not any, not local Scilon demonstrators, no carny tent full of lies, NOTHING.

Make it known that we will be there, that we are ready, and that there will be truth spread over their toast of lies!

Here's my guess:

In the past, big CCHR protests and exhibits have been shit since Chanology started. Either they've been no-shows or they've been completely stomped upon by our presence, as well as they should be.

So either there will be nobody there (which only gives us an excuse to raid the Org for the rest of the week), or they will be trying to seriously meet this goal of theirs and bring in Scientologists from other parts of the country, particularly Clearwater and LA.

Even if there are 2,000 or just 30 protesters there, it still means we will accomplish a win and still have many sidequests to choose from (Org raiding in SF and/or SJ, Mission hopping for lulz, etc)

So the alternative is, if there's no Scientology/CCHR presence at the convention, we'll just all get together to raep the many Orgs in the Bay Area. Sound good?

Yeah, the flyer is just for their meeting on the protests - not the protests themselves. And it's basically stating their intent in May.

But we're still planning to raid the meeting, just because we can.

To get those kind of numbers they will have to pretty well empty Gold Base, as well as gather up as many of the other Sea Orgers that they can. This would be a great time to get pictures of the protesters, so that families can find disconnected relatives.

My first thought was "Yeah! Kick ass raid 2,000 Scilons!"

But then I thought, perhaps 2,000 Scientologists protesting psychologists is a huge footbullet. It would freak out the public & make them look nutty & we might get some good press out of this (or negative press for the scientologists).

We could load up the media press release harpoons with the whole
"Psychs did 9/11" or "All Psychs raep, everyone all day nonstop" bullshit that the CCHR has already put out. Clearly link this with Scientology.

The media tends to ignore these nutters, but perhaps if we encourage them a bit it could get quite interesting.

On the flip side, the downside to not raiding them is it's probably about the only moral booster they have left for themselves. Raiding them means they'll just scamper away in fear of information about themselves.

Thoughts?

It IS a few weeks in advance. The Scilons are having a planning meeting on Saturday. Forget about it if you're not around SF. The big event is the Psych conference in mid-May.

Oooh and for West Coast Anons and anybody else who wants to join in the party ...there is a huge incentive to come to the event for a couple of days because the Bay to Breakers marathon is the next day Sunday May 17th.. its a 7 mile race that involves legalized drinking (floats with keggers attached to them), fun costumes, nudes, people in skin tight spandex, skinny ethopian runners who run from tigers and shit to compete here, and tens of thousands of people..

If 2000 scientologists are going to be present in the craziest city on earth - San Francisco... they would get a kick off the 1.1 tone scale level of 75,000 crazy runners

Another thing: Alert local media (especially local ABC affilliate) to the Baca series, let them know the Scilons are coming on 5/16, suggest they might get a few good followup interviews from Scilons eager to point out the Danger Of Psychiatry. Local SF citizens turn on tube, see batshit crazy cult being protested by batshit crazy Anons, wonder wtf THAT'S about, check out Google, links on signs, etc.
