Apparently it was a citizens arrest by Catherine Fraser for trespassing. AGP has some good shots of Catherine Fraser and Tommy Davis talking to the cops inside the compound. There is speculation that the cops were alerted before the protesters even got there, because they only took <5 minutes to get there.

Graham says there is a good case against the Scilons.

Again, this is 3rd hand, but I'm trying to be careful.

They were arrested for protesting Scientology. The charge doesn't really matter.
Don't get me wrong, of course it does matter for countermeasures, harpoons etc. but that's probably not the actual reason why they were arrested.

There was no citizen's arrest involved. A cop used his discretionary powers to charge & arrest two people for a criminal violation.

It is now up to the Riverside Court to determine if the charges stick or not.
