They obviously didn't notice it in the video until now, or didn't watch the video until now. You can either cooperate with a rather polite request from a cell that I'm assuming you hope to have a civil protesting relationship with in the future, or you can refuse and facefag a bunch of anons that went out of their way to attend your megaraid, probably pissing them off in the process, which certainly can't encourage Vegas anons to protest with you in the future. And you really should just do it by default.

Common practice for you isn't common practice for the rest of us. Every cell I've been around has blurred unmasked faces without them having to make it a point to ask the cameraman to do so. Just the fact that they politely asked you in a pm to blur their faces is proof that their cell blurs unmasked faces without having to be told to do so.
I can't tell whether this is one of the reasons SoCal is so little anon and so much OG or one of the results of it, but it's one or the other.
If you don't know HOW to blur unmasked faces you shouldn't be FILMING unmasked faces. Fuck if I know how to do that in video, and you can see quite blatantly in my videos I turn the camera aside if an unmasked anon walks into the shot. Because I'm not going to fuck with the privacy of another anon.

Hi. I also am somewhat sketchy on how to blur faces in an uploaded video, but I'm interested enough that I'm going to find out. If I went through and blurred all the faces of every anon who hasn't been publicly "outed" (or otherwise indicated desire to be) and sent you a copy of the new video, would you replace the one you already have? Would you pass on the request to others who mirror it, to mirror the updated video and discontinue mirroring the original? Obviously, you can't make "info disappear" on the Internet. That's not what I'm asking. The question is: would you be willing to do this much (replace, pass on the request) to honor the requests of those concerned?
So, you're saying the Gold Base protest was an Anonymous-sponsored protest?? Hate to blast your bubble, but the SoCal protests on Scientology draw a blend of anons, ex-Scilons and concerned critics. I am not an anon and have never claimed to be one. Nevertheless, I pay tribute to Anonymous every chance I get. There have been critics protesting the cult long before Anonymous came into the picture, 612. If anons want to hold private protests where only anons can attend, then do so. But, the Gold Base protest to honor Ida was Xenubarb's idea, not an anons.
Samefag here. Much of the same could be said for those critiquing "CW Anons' response to Scientology" or "CWPD response to [anything]". I've noticed that Smurf usually responds to criticism quietly, and only unusually breaking out into a tantrum. Its the tantrums that are far more memorable. I'm willing to surmise that CW's actual response to perceived slights is more graceful than what I've seen, and am constantly reminded of; and running off the rails is abnormal rather than standard behavior. Can you see how all our perceptions are distorted? It would be more mature and "adult" of me to respond privately in PM instead of in this thread, but I do so here partly, because Anon posting helps protect my privacy. I'm not ready to throw all that away, just yet.
Actually what I was implying was that the SoCal cell is the least anon cell I've ever had the displeasure of having to deal with.
As I am clueless how to edit a video that was uploaded nearly a week ago, and am unwillingly to delete it, I have, begrudgingly, designated it as "private" until I decide what to do. The viewing public now see's this.. This video is private. Only those with access can see it.

I would 1. take the video down 2. open up the editing program and change what needs changing, or just leave it down b'cause my stuff just ain't that important in the Big Scheme 3. upload edited footage Because it's anonymous and because anonymity is cherished, and because it's the right thing to do. I ran into this problem when doing the SP East Coast Conference in which several anons who were facefagged PMed me. I took the video down and haven't got around to redoing it. And nothing of value was lost. (except the footage of anon robot-humping the outhouse) So why don't you just fucking play nice, Garry?
Hi everybody! Not sure why this is in the planning thread rather than the post game thread...but I guess it is for the best and wont fag up that thread. I am an LA anon, and I dont like Smurf speaking for other anons about "our" feelings about Las Vegas anons. If some incident happened I didn't hear about it. The Vegas anons were a big part of this protest, they brought binoculars seeing the sniper nest, cakes and brownies, fucking koolade, a penis costume and they drove a long way to get to Gold. On my video, I decided to not show any parking lot planning to avoid face fagging and the extra work to blur, and did not video the dinner. A videographer may not have the ability to ask everyone if they are OK with their faces being shown. That is understood. But the Vegas anons wore face covering pretty much everywhere except the dinner...so it can be deduced that they did not want to be face-fagged. And so video taken at a more relaxed venue should be treated differently. In the future though, don't assume someone taking pics or vids know to blur your face...not everyone has common sense. And please take down video when you get a real request to do so...people are worried about being followed. Just edit and reupload. May take a few days, but it is really the right thing to do. And don't bitch at me Smurf...just take yer lumps and remember it for next time, k?
