And Marc, once you won, don't forget to write a letter to all the big donors like Nancy Cartwright thanking for their money and assuring them that it was well spent. Ask them for more donations, as the church will certainly face more lawsuits on slave labor soon.

Make sure you take some lovely pictures of you and the new house, the new car, the new speedboat, and thank them for all those wonderful toys.

Or the deposition has taken loooonger than expected, and he can't post (without ensuring legal jeopardy) before it's done and dusted?

'Tis odd though, wishing all good things for Marc, his wife and Laura.

Please explain how telling us the same things he is telling the cult lawyers, or the events in his day would be putting himself in legal jeopardy ?

Re: Marc Headley v. CSI: Lawsuit filed re organized scientology's labor violations

I believe Marc's depo is not yet completed. I'm not sure but the rest may be scheduled for later in the month AFAIK. His wife Claire is also being deposed.

Anything beyond the above is really up to Marc to post and I am sure he will when he is ready to do so.

Now for an opinion. Marc is a tough guy and also a very nice guy. I believe he has been taking a lot of shit for a comment he made about talking to Moxon about Moxon's daughter's death.

IMHO what a lot of people don't know about Marc and his wife is just how badly they and their family have been screwed over by organized scientology. Marc and Claire have two wonderful boys and I would not be surprised that in the back of their minds it should be four. The cult has a responsibility in killing two of their babies through forced abortion and yet Moxon has the f _ _ King gaul to attack Marc. I hope that I would be able to show the same constraint that Marc has shown under these conditions.

I greatly admire Marc for what he is going through and having to sit there and take shit from Moxon who has a GREAT deal of responsibility for stifling free speech and sheltering the cult so that it can continue to destroy families, commit fraud and otherwise hurt others on a daily basis. Imagine having to sit for days with a shit like that who has behind so many human rights abuses and who is attacking you for loving your family and the like.

I cannot wait until the day I come across Moxon in the courts. I believe that day is coming.

I am proud to call Marc my friend and I will be proud to cover his back when the time comes.

IMHO the labor litigants and their attorney Barry Van Sickle are taking the first major legal assault from the cult through these depos, motions to dismiss, threats to Barry's legal status through trumped up claims of frivolous law suits, etc.

I believe that Barry and his clients have them dead on the labor claims and that organized scientology is toast in this area. They are going to have to ground this out though for a couple of years and take every attack the cult can throw at them over that time. As for the human trafficing claims I believe Barry is the only attorney with the courage to fight this. I'm no lawyer
but I'm guessing that the human trafficing claims may make the case and discovery difficult but they ARE guilty of human trafficing and if Barry does not pursue it I know of no one else who will.

They need to be called on coercive working conditions and right now Marc, Clair, Laura and Barry have stepped up to the plate to fight them on this.

They have my full support and I suggest others give their support as well (I know some are). As far as I am concerned these actions can do more to stop the DM's and his cult's abuses than anything else currently ongoing.

Anyway, the above is my opinion and as well as a comment on the depos. I say have patience and leave it to Marc and his attorney to decide when and in what form to give an update.

Re: Marc Headley v. CSI: Lawsuit filed re organized scientology's labor violations

Larry, your assessment is dead on. Remember the turmoil that Henson has been going through: the cult has the ability to grind down the opposition with little things that can take months for a judge to rule. Keith Henson's criminal case for protesting with a sign in front of Int Base (Golden Era Productions) was obviously, given the transcripts, scripted in favor of the cult. Henson was convicted before he entered the court.

Keith is also, I think, still defending his previous case of having divulged NOTs 35 (or some number), in a theory that this NOTS version declared that the cult was practicing medicine without legal license to do so. Now, his NOTS case, in which he was trying to separate his and his wife's community property from a "taking" from the cult, is likely still active. Someone might know of this.

Hendley's case might be in the court for a number of years, given the cult's propensity for dredging up every little thing that might have even a remote chance of derailing the case, as Keith Henson's, Larry Wollersheim's, and other's cases had been derailed for years.

Moxon and company have had decades of practice in defending Scientology. Their theory is to grind down the opposition into small grains that blow into the wind.

Moxon and company have had a lot of success with this theory of defense. It will take a determined, yet fair, judge to derail Moxon and company's defenses based on minutiae. Time will tell what is going to happen with Mark's and his wife's cases.

The upside is that the California Labor Relations Board (or whatever it is named) has certified the basis for the lawsuits. This is a huge benefit that Moxon and company will have to work double-secret overtime to overcome.
