Scott, I'd be keen to hear from you on the limitation period issue - specifically whether there are likely circumstances for courts to extend/waive limitation periods, given the levels of abuse of employees and the effects of that abuse over the long term.

I have finally digested the complaint and Scott's great analysis. This is going to be huge so here are some thoughts.

1. @mods: Set up Marc Healdey vs Church of Scientology International Situation Room
2. Tikk is too modest. Full text of his analysis needs to be posted here and stickied for the situation room.
3. This has not yet hit google news. So, all anon bloggers should immediately post about it.
4. This is a whole new era in lawfare because of Anonymous. This will be the first major case with Anonymous at cause. The cult's every move will be watched, reported, and spread all over the internet. The following makes me think there is opportunity for activism and lulz -

From Marc on OCMB:

As Larry Brennan mentioned in a post somewhere, there were a few others that were also part of the initial complaints that were filed. These names were intentionally listed to test what would happen with these people. Within hours of the complaints being filed, these people’s families were contacted and eventually some of these people would drop out of the case. The intimidation was swift and effective. This was expected and predicted. It was also illegal. So be it. It just made the case that much stronger. Additional evidence that backs up the case is created by the Scientology enterprise daily.

5. CoS defense will be to claim immunity for Sea Org as a religious order. It is important to get reactions from attorneys who deal with religious and/or labor law so send this around to your contacts.

Mods - I think we need a situation room nao. When we set up the Jett Room we got a lot of visitors and some who stayed. It is helpful for me as a blogger to refer readers to the WWP Marc Headley vs CSI Situation Room, for example, for the latest information about what's going on.

Also, cocks.

^^^I agree, this does actually need a situation room, and anon can probably do something to focus attention on this (once the media has moved on from other Scientology-related stories).

One question. What is the statue of limitations on pay disputes? Reason i ask is that I was thoroughly screwed over unpaid over time a few years ago. Didn't help me but the guys still working got a nice bonus.

Colorado anonymous features a piece about life at Gold Base, as described by Bruce Hines.
Experiences of an Ex-Scientologist in Sea Org at Colorado Anonymous

More slave labor; long days, dangerous work, insufficient living conditions. Another piece of intel to add to the heap, no?

we can haz situation room nao plox? this is probably the biggest thing we can work with as of yet.
17. Re: New Lawsuit filed re organized scientology's labor violations

As the labor practices lawsuit slowly gains national attention, those silly RivCo supes are gonna look pretty foolish passing legislation specifically designed to stifle protests against that awful abuse.

? ? ?

Didn't want to derail this thread...it's one of the most important events to happen since this all kicked off IMHO...so created a new one:

If you know about servers/733t haxxorz/etc...

Has BlownForGood's website been compromised?

If it has, it'd be more meat for any "harassment timeline" he ultimate,y submits to the court, but more importantly, could be especially significant right now if his email's been compromised as well.

Thanks.

maybe this is stupid idea, but might not hurt for anyone involved in the case to "vet" themselves to some degree. Pay the fifty bucks for an online background check and get that shit notarized along with taking a piss test. Just thinking since this is the cult's obvious angle of attack, might be helpful to shut shit down real early in the game since they are seeking a jury trial.

Re: New Lawsuit filed re organized scientology's labor violations

I can't believe I am saying this, guys... but Marc needs a personal army. I'm not kidding/trolling. I am being 100% serious, because if Marc drops this suit, all of this effort will be for nothing. This is what separates the trolls from the /i/nsurgency. This lawsuit is the defining moment of Chanology, and if it passes, the Cult will be looking at their apocalypse. This very well could be the final battle.

Any Anonymous near him need to protect him. Every time a cult member tries to come up to his house, make him look dead into the eyes of OTVIII, and blast it from a trollcannon until they run. Be as aggressive in trolling ALL orgs near him as possible to keep them on the defensive. I'm talking daily flash raids. The cult members near Marc Headley should be looking both ways before taking one step out of their org.

Marc, you should have Anons on speed-dial. Buy a gun, and extra ammunition. The first time a cult member does ANYTHING to you, report it to the police and demand an order of protection. Keep all pets inside at all times, and put up "NO TRESSPASSING" signs. You might want to invest in home security as well. This may sound overboard, but trust me, you can't afford to give the cult any lee-way. Post here DAILY, to let us know you are okay.

The cult will fight this tooth and nail, as said earlier. If you can keep up the offensive in court, any Anon here worth his weight in dongs will troll any and all orgs near you with a ferocity previously unseen in Chanology.

And you faggots, if you say NYPA, then you have already let the cult win this battle. Put that bullshit behind us; you know just as well as Marc that this lawsuit is the silver stake in the cult's heart. Otherwise, they wouldn't be so obsessive in trying to end this before it begins.

With the documented policy and history of abuse the Co$ has generously provided, you might want to consider getting a TRO against all scientologists and their agents or representatives.
That will get you a faster police response and a better outcome if any of them stalk, threaten, harass or assault you.

Someone needs a course in Headley 101.

It's not really a "personal army" if individual anons see what Marc has done and decide to provide /b/lackup because they believe he is doing it right.

I wish I could do something to help, I reckon this is our best chance yet.

Re: New Lawsuit filed re organized scientology's labor violations

We got Child Labor law violations in this too right ? I mean they gave these kids official business posts and titles.

Trouble reading the transcript from the OP.

In light of the blatant discrimination by the Cult of $cientology Even against one of their high Profile proselytizers and adherent Son's. Will there be lawsuits on behalf of People with disabilities as well ?

I feel if both lawsuits where going on at the same time, it would be tremendously epic.

Re: New Lawsuit filed re organized scientology's labor violations

This thread is pertinent to my interests. I am my own personal army and take it where the wind blows.

I'm assuming that Marc is smarter than the average bear about his own protection and has taken multiple precautions for not only his own safety, but the safety of others that are involved. His escape should have, and most likely did, teach him that.

What I see as one major problem is the condition of the children right now, at this moment. What is happening to them? The ones that are from other countries and are forcefully separated from their parents? The kids who work as "staff" instead of going to school? And then there is the children's RPF.... Are they being driven out in buses in the middle of the night?

Can this lawsuit be brought to the attention of some type of children's protective service as well? Texas is one state that has a large personal army to protect kids, as shown in the FLDS issue last year. Any other states willing to protect their smallest charges?

Newfag
Have a question. If someone gets a regular freeloader debt letter monthly from the scilons, does that extend the statue of limitations?

I've been out a long time, but I get regular letters demanding money from me, so it seems that makes it an on going violation.

But all my law knowledge comes from Law & Order, so...

Re: New Lawsuit filed re organized scientology's labor violations

The statute of limitations is irrelevant here as the "freeloader debt" is totally unenforceable. The demand letters you've been receiving have as much legal weight as the bogus C&D letters the cult's shysters have sent out to some Anons. Just more Scilon intimidation.
